வானங்களிலும், பூமியிலும் இருப்பவையெல்லாம், விரும்பியோ விரும்பாமலோ அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே ஸுஜூது செய்(து சிரம் பணி)கின்றன் அவற்றின் நிழல்களும் காலையிலும் மாலையிலும் (அவ்வாறே! ஸங்தா செய்கின்றன).

and when we said to the angels: make obeisance to adam, they made obeisance, but iblis (did it not); he refused.
"நீங்கள் ஆதமுக்கு ஸுஜூது செய்யுங்கள்" என்று நாம் வானவர்களிடம் கூறிய போது, இப்லீஸை தவிர, அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தார்கள். அவன் (அவ்வாறு செய்யாது) விலகிக் கொண்டான்.

"அதனை நீங்கள் நம்புங்கள், அல்லது நம்பாதிருங்கள்; (அதனால் நமக்கு கூடுதல், குறைவு எதுவுமில்லை.) நிச்சயமாக இதற்கு முன்னர் எவர் (வேத) ஞானம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார்களோ, அவர்களிடம் அது (குர்ஆன்) ஓதிக்காண்பிக்கப்பட்டால் அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தவர்களாக முகங்களின் மீது (பணிந்து) விழுவார்கள்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறும்.

he said: o iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom i created with my two hands? are you proud or are you of the exalted ones?
"இப்லீஸே! நான் என்னுடைய கைகளால் படைத்தவருக்கு ஸுஜூது செய்வதை விட்டும் உன்னைத்தடுத்தது எது? பெருமையடிக்கிறாயா? அல்லது நீ உயர்ந்தவர்களில் (ஒருவனாக) ஆகிவிட்டாயா?" என்று (அல்லாஹ்) கேட்டான்.

do they not consider every thing that allah has created? its (very) shadows return from right and left, making obeisance to allah while they are in utter abasement.
அல்லாஹ் படைத்திருக்கும் பொருட்களில் அவர்கள் எதையுமே (உற்றுப்) பார்க்கவில்லையா? அவற்றின் நிழல்கள் வலமும், இடதுமாக (ஸுஜூது செய்தவையாகச்) சாய்கின்றன மேலும் அவை பணிந்து (கீழ்படிதலுடன் இவ்வாறு) அல்லாஹ் வழிபடுகின்றன.

and to allah doth obeisance all that is in the heavens and on earth, whether moving (living) creatures or the angels: for none are arrogant (before their lord).
