how many were the habitations, mightier than your city which has turned you out, which we destroyed; and they did not have a helper.
மேலும், (நபியே!) உம்முடைய ஊரை விடடு உம்மை வெளியேற்றியவர்களை விட, எத்தனையோ ஊ(ரா)ர்கள் மிக்க பல முடையவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள். (அவர்கள் பாவத்தின் காரணமாக) அவர்களை நாம் அழித்து விட்டோம் - ஆகவே அவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வோர் எவரும் இருக்கவில்லை.

and how many a generation we destroyed before them, who were mightier than these in prowess so that they overran the lands! had they any place of refuge (when the judgment came)?
அன்றியும், (நிராகரிப்போரான) அவர்களைவிட பலசாளிகளாக இருந்த எத்தனையோ தலைமுறையினரை அவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் நாம் அழித்திருக்கின்றோம்; அவர்கள் (அழிவிலிருந்து தப்பித்துக் கொள்ள) பல ஊர்களிலிரும் (துளைத்துச்) சென்றனர்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் தப்பித்துக் கொள்ள புகலிடம் இருந்ததா?

then as to ad, they were unjustly proud in the land, and they said: who is mightier in strength than we? did they not see that allah who created them was mightier than they in strength, and they denied our communications?
அன்றியும் ஆது(க் கூட்டத்தார்) பூமியில் அநியாயமாகப் பெருமையடித்துக் கொண்டு, "எங்களை விட வலிமையில் மிக்கவர்கள் யார்?" என்று கூறினார்கள் - அவர்களைப் படைத்த அல்லாஹ் நிச்சயமாக அவர்களை விட வலிமையில் மிக்கவன் என்பதை அவர்கள் கவனித்திருக்க வில்லையா? இன்னும் அவர்கள் நம் அத்தாட்சிகளை மறுத்தவாறே இருந்தார்கள்.

have they not travelled about in the land so that they may behold of what wise hath been the end of those who were before them? they were mightier than these in strength and in the traces in the land. yet allah laid hold of them for their sins, and from allah they had none as protector.

have they not travelled through the land to see the terrible end of those who lived before them. they had been mightier than them in power and in leaving their traces on earth. god punished them for their sins. they had no one to save them from god's torment.

அன்றியும் ஆது(க் கூட்டத்தார்) பூமியில் அநியாயமாகப் பெருமையடித்துக் கொண்டு, "எங்களை விட வலிமையில் மிக்கவர்கள் யார்?" என்று கூறினார்கள் - அவர்களைப் படைத்த அல்லாஹ் நிச்சயமாக அவர்களை விட வலிமையில் மிக்கவன் என்பதை அவர்கள் கவனித்திருக்க வில்லையா? இன்னும் அவர்கள் நம் அத்தாட்சிகளை மறுத்தவாறே இருந்தார்கள்.

(as for) those who lay in wait for you. if a victory comes to you from allah they say: 'were we not with you' but if the unbelievers get a portion, they say, 'were we not mightier than you, and did we not defend you from the believers' allah will judge between you on the day of resurrection. allah will not grant the unbelievers any way over the believers.
(இந்நயவஞ்சகர்கள்) உங்களை எப்பொழுதும் கவனித்தவர்களாகவே இருக்கின்றனர். அல்லாஹ்வின் அருளினால் உங்களுக்கு வெற்றி கிடைத்தால், (அவர்கள் உங்களிடம் வந்து) "நாங்கள் உங்களுடன் இருக்கவில்லையா?" என்று கூறுகின்றனர். மாறாக, காஃபிர்களுக்கு ஏதாவது வெற்றி(ப் பொருள்) கிடைத்தால் (அவர்களிடம் சென்று; அவர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து) "உங்களை நாங்கள் வெற்றிக்கொள்ளக்கூடிய நிலையிலிருந்தும் அந்த விசுவாசிகளிடமிருந்து காப்பாற்றவில்லையா?" என்று கூறுகின்றனர். எனவே அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கும் (அவர்களுக்கும்) இடையே நிச்சயமாக மறுமை நாளில் தீர்ப்பு வழங்குவான்;. மெய்யாகவே, காஃபிர்கள், முஃமின்கள் மீது வெற்றி கொள்ள அல்லாஹ் யாதொரு வழியும் ஆக்கவே மாட்டான்.
