but when he gave them from his bounty, they were stingy with it and turned away while they refused.
(அவ்வாறே) அவன் அவர்களுக்குத் தன் அருட்கொடையிலிருந்து வழங்கியபோது, அதில் அவர்கள் உலோபித்தனம் செய்து, அவர்கள் புறக்கணித்தவர்களாக பின் வாங்கிவிட்டனர்.

அத்தகையோர் உலோபத்தனம் செய்வதுடன், (பிற) மனிதர்களையும் உலோபித்தனம் செய்யும்படித் தூண்டி அல்லாஹ் தன் அருட்கொடையினின்று அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்ததை மறைத்துக்கொள்கிறார்கள்;. அத்தகைய நன்றி கெட்டவர்களுக்கு இழிவான தண்டனையை நாம் சித்தப்படுத்தி வைத்துள்ளோம்.

those who are stingy, and exhort people to stinginess, and conceal what god has given them from his bounty. we have prepared for the disbelievers a disgraceful punishment.
அத்தகையோர் உலோபத்தனம் செய்வதுடன், (பிற) மனிதர்களையும் உலோபித்தனம் செய்யும்படித் தூண்டி அல்லாஹ் தன் அருட்கொடையினின்று அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்ததை மறைத்துக்கொள்கிறார்கள்;. அத்தகைய நன்றி கெட்டவர்களுக்கு இழிவான தண்டனையை நாம் சித்தப்படுத்தி வைத்துள்ளோம்.

say, "had you owned the treasures of the mercy of my lord, you would have locked them up for fear of spending them. the human being has always been stingy.
"என்னுடைய இறைவனின் (ரஹ்மத்து என்னும்) அருள் பொக்கிஷங்களை நீங்கள் சொந்தப்படுத்திக் கொண்டு இருப்பீர்களானாலும், அவை செலவாகி விடுமோ என்ற பயத்தினால், நீங்கள் (அவற்றைத்) தடுத்துக்கொள்வீர்கள் - மேலும், மனிதன் உலோபியாகவே இருக்கின்றான்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறும்.

[those] who are stingy and enjoin upon people stinginess. and whoever turns away - then indeed, allah is the free of need, the praiseworthy.
நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (எவரிடமும்) தேவையற்றவன். புகழ் மிக்கவன்.

ah! there you are, being invited to spend in the way of allah; yet among you there are those who are stingy; and whoever is stingy is stingy only to himself. allah is the all-sufficient, and you are all-needy, and if you turn away he will replace you with another people, and they will not be like you.
அறிந்துகொள்க! அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் செலவு செய்யுமாறு அழைக்கப்படும் கூட்டத்தினர் நீங்கள், ஆனால் உங்களில் கஞ்சத்தனம் உடையோரும் இருக்கிறார்கள்; ஆனால் எவன் கஞ்சத்தனம் செய்கிறானோ, அவன் தன் ஆத்மாவுக்கே கஞ்சத்தனம் செய்கிறான் - அல்லாஹ் எவ்விதத் தேவையுமற்றவன் - நீங்க்ள தேவையுடையவர்களாக இருக்கின்றீர்கள். எனவே (சத்தியத்தை) நீங்கள் புறக்கணிப்பீர்களாயின், உங்களல்லாத (வேறு ஒரு) சமூகத்தாரை அவன் பதிலாகக் கொண்டு வருவான் பின்னர், உங்களைப் போன்று அவர்கள் இருக்கமாட்டார்கள்.
