and their saying: surely we have killed the messiah, isa son of marium, the apostle of allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure.
இன்னும், "நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதராகிய - மர்யமின் குமாரராகிய-ஈஸா மஸீஹை கொன்றுவிட்டோம்" என்று அவர்கள் கூறுவதாலும் (அவர்கள் சபிக்கப்பட்டனர்). அவர்கள் அவரைக் கொல்லவுமில்லை, அவரை அவர்கள் சிலுவையில் அறையவுமில்லை. ஆனால் அவர்களுக்கு (அவரைப் போன்ற) ஒருவன் ஒப்பாக்கப்பட்டான்;. மேலும் இ(வ் விஷயத்)தில் அபிப்ராய பேதம் கொண்டவர்கள், அதில் சந்தேகத்திலேயே இருக்கின்றார்கள் - வெறும் யூகத்தைப் பின்பற்றுவதேயன்றி அவர்களுக்கு இதில் எத்தகைய அறிவும் கிடையாது. நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள், அவரைக் கொல்லவே இல்லை.
