ini menunjukkan bahawa arah kiblat umat islam boleh dinyatakan sebagai masjidil haram dan juga kaabah. ini kerana kaabah sendiri terletak tengah tengah masjidil haram dan masjidil haram sendiri di dalamnya terletak bangunan kaabah.

jika dilihat daripada perspektif ayat al quran dalam surah al baqarah ayat 149 di atas, apa yang dapat difahami, maksud arah menghadap ketika melaksanakan solat ialah masjidil haram bukannya kaabah walaupun diketahui bahawa di dalam masjidil haram itu sendiri terletaknya kaabah. ini dikuatkan juga dengan istilah yang sama digunakan oleh al quran dalam surah al baqarah ayat 144 yang turut menyatakan bahawa arah kiblat ialah masjidil haram.
when viewed from the perspective of the quran verse in the sura al baqarah verse 149 above, what can be understood, the point of facing when performing prayer is the masjid haram instead of the kaaba even though it is known that in the masjid haram itself the kaaba is located. this is also reinforced by the same term used by the quran in sura al baqarah verse 144 which also states that the direction of the qiblah is the mosque of haram.

al razi (1938) menyatakan, “arah kiblat ialah titik persilangan antara bulatan ufuk dan bulatan besar yang melepasi ke arah zenit pemerhati dan zenit mekah. sudut kiblat pula ialah arka pada bulatan ufuk antara arah kiblat dan meridian kawasan setempat, dan sudut antara arah kiblat dan tempat matahari ekuinoks terbenam iaitu barat yang merupakan pelengkap bagi sudut kiblat”.
al razi (1938) states, “the direction of the qiblah is the crossing point between the horizon circle and the large circle that passes towards the observer's zenith and mecca's zenith. the angle of the qibla is the arc on the horizon circle between the direction of the qibla and the meridian of the local area, and the angle between the direction of the qibla and the place of sunset is the western equinox which is complementary to the angle of the qibla”.
