hum khana khatay hai

میرے بابو کھانا کھاتے ہیں
did my babu ate food

ہم آم کھاتے ہیں
میں ساتویں جماعت میں بھرتی ہوں

وہ کھانا کھاتے کھاتے رہ گیا
he left for lahore

ہم کھاتے ہیں زندہ رہنے کے لئیے۔
we eat so that we can live.

پھر ان کی طرف بڑھادیا اور کہا کیا آپ لوگ نہیں کھاتے ہیں
and he laid it before them saying, 'will you not eat?'

اور انہیں ان کے لیے نرم کردیا تو کسی پر سوار ہوتے ہیں اور کسی کو کھاتے ہیں،
and have subdued them unto them, so that some of them they have for riding, some for food?

اور اللہ کی قسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ وہ تم میں سے ہیں اور تم میں سے ہیں نہیں ہاں وہ لوگ ڈرتے ہیں
and they (the hypocrites) swear by allah that they are from among you (muslims); and they are not from among you – however those people are afraid.

اور الله کی قسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ وہ بے شک تم میں سے ہیں حالانکہ وہ تم میں سے نہیں لیکن وہ ڈرتے ہیں
they swear by allah that they belong with you, yet they are not of you. they are a nation that are afraid.

وه لوگ جو اپنے رب سے بن دیکھے خوف کھاتے ہیں اور قیامت (کے تصور) سے کانپتے رہتے ہیں
(for) those who fear their lord in secret and they are fearful of the hour.

مسیح گزر چکے ہیں ان کی ماں صدیقہ (راست باز خاتون) تھیں وہ دونوں کھانا کھاتے تھے۔ دیکھو ہم کس طرح ان کے سامنے واضح دلائل بیان کر رہے ہیں۔ پھر دیکھو یہ کدھر الٹے پھرے جا رہے ہیں۔
christ the son of mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. his mother was a woman of truth. they had both to eat their (daily) food. see how allah doth make his signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!

اور ہم نے تم سے پہلے جتنے پیغمبر بھیجے ہیں سب کھانا کھاتے تھے اور بازاروں میں چلتے پھرتے تھے۔ اور ہم نے تمہیں ایک دوسرے کے لئے آزمائش بنایا ہے۔ کیا تم صبر کرو گے۔ اور تمہارا پروردگار تو دیکھنے والا ہے
all the messengerss whom we sent before, certainly, ate food and walked through the streets. we have made some of you (people) a trial for the others. would you then exercise patience? your lord is all-aware.
