Եւ Յովսէփը, մարմինն առնելով, պատեց մաքուր կտաւով
and when joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

Յովսէփը ճանաչեց իր եղբայրներին, բայց նրանք չճանաչեցին իրեն:
and joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him.

իսկ մատակարարին կախեց ծառից, ինչպէս մեկնել էր Յովսէփը:
but he hanged the chief baker: as joseph had interpreted to them.

Վախճանուեց Յովսէփը. նաեւ նրա բոլոր եղբայրներն ու ամբողջ սերունդը:
and joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.

Առաւօտեան Յովսէփը մտաւ նրանց մօտ եւ տեսաւ, որ նրանք յուզուած են:
and joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad.

Յակոբից սերուած բոլոր մարդիկ եօթանասունհինգ հոգի էին: Յովսէփը գտնւում էր Եգիպտոսում:
and all the souls that came out of the loins of jacob were seventy souls: for joseph was in egypt already.

Մարդն արեց այնպէս, ինչպէս ասել էր Յովսէփը, եւ մարդկանց տարաւ Յովսէփի տունը:
and the man did as joseph bade; and the man brought the men into joseph's house.

Յովսէփը նրանց ասաց. «Մի՛ վախեցէք, որովհետեւ ես էլ Աստծու մարդն եմ:
and joseph said unto them, fear not: for am i in the place of god?

«Ահա քո որդի Յովսէփը քեզ մօտ է գալիս»: Իսրայէլն ուժերը հաւաքեց ու նստեց անկողնում:
and one told jacob, and said, behold, thy son joseph cometh unto thee: and israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.

Յովսէփը երրորդ օրն ասաց նրանց. «Այսպէս արէք, որպէսզի փրկուէք. ես ինքս էլ աստուածավախ մարդ եմ:
and joseph said unto them the third day, this do, and live; for i fear god:

Եւ Յովսէփը քնից արթնանալով՝ արեց, ինչպէս հրամայել էր իրեն Տիրոջ հրեշտակը, եւ իր կնոջն առաւ իր մօտ:
then joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

Այնպէս պատահեց, որ մի օր Յովսէփը իր ինչ-որ գործով տուն մտաւ: Ընտանիքի անդամներից ոչ ոք չկար տանը:
and it came to pass about this time, that joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.

Այդպէս էլ արեցին Իսրայէլի որդիները: Յովսէփը փարաւոն արքայի կարգադրութեան համաձայն՝ նրանց տուեց սայլեր ու ճանապարհի պաշար:
and the children of israel did so: and joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.

Եւ փարաւոնը Յովսէփի անունը դրեց Փսոմփթոմբանէ, իսկ Արեգ քաղաքի քուրմ Պետափրէսի դուստր Ասանէթին նրան տուեց կնութեան: Եւ Յովսէփը գնաց փարաւոնի մօտից:
and pharaoh called joseph's name zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him to wife asenath the daughter of poti-pherah priest of on. and joseph went out over all the land of egypt.

Յովսէփը հրամայեց, որ նրանց պարկերը լցնեն ցորենով, իւրաքանչիւրի արծաթը դնեն իր պարկի մէջ եւ ճանապարհի պաշար տան: Այդպէս էլ արեցին:
then joseph commanded to fill their sacks with corn, and to restore every man's money into his sack, and to give them provision for the way: and thus did he unto them.

Յովսէփը երկրի իշխանն էր, ուստի ինքն էր ցորեն վաճառում երկրի ողջ ժողովրդին: Յովսէփի եղբայրները, գալով, գլուխները խոնարհեցին մինչեւ գետին:
and joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth.

Յովսէփը բոլոր եգիպտացիներին ասաց. «Ահա ձեզ եւ ձեր հողը ես գնեցի փարաւոնի համար: Առէ՛ք ձեր սերմացուն եւ ցանեցէ՛ք ձեր հողերում:
then joseph said unto the people, behold, i have bought you this day and your land for pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.

Այնտեղից անցնում էին մադիանացի վաճառականներ: Եղբայրները Յովսէփին քաշեցին-հանեցին հորից եւ քսան դահեկանով վաճառեցին իսմայէլացիներին:
then there passed by midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up joseph out of the pit, and sold joseph to the ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought joseph into egypt.
