ogni giorno recitavamo il rosario, ed eravamo quasi tutti membri della legio mariae. sono stato fortunato, perché in queste scuole sono cresciuto non solo nelle conoscenze scientifiche e nella formazione culturale, ma anche nella vita spirituale.
each day we recited the rosary, and we were almost all members of the legion of mary. i was lucky because in these schools i not only grew in learning and knowledge of culture but also in the spiritual life.

da piccolino lo portavo in chiesa, così pure mia figlia. sebbene non fossi istruita nelle cose del signore, leggevo spesso la sacra scrittura e cercavo, come potevo, di dare ai miei figli qualche contenuto che potesse essere loro di aiuto per crescere nell'amore di gesù. durante il giorno recitavamo insieme qualche posta di rosario alla madonna e la sera, quando andavamo a letto, concludevamo la giornata ringraziando il signore con la preghiera. ritenevo molto importante che i bambini si addormentassero con un pensiero buono che potesse portare buoni frutti spirituali anche durante la notte.
even though i was not instructed in the things of the lord, i often read the holy scripture and tried, as best as i could, to give my children some content that could be of help to them to grow in the love of jesus. during the day we recited together some rosary beads to the virgin mary and in the evening when we went to bed, we concluded the day thanking the lord with a prayer. i thought it was very important that my children fell asleep with a good thought that could bring good spiritual fruits even during the night.
