deze optie maakt het mogelijk om de logregels van een kleur te voorzien, bepaald aan de hand van hun logniveau. bijvoorbeeld, een foutmelding zal rood worden gekleurd, een waarschuwing oranje,... hierdoor ziet u sneller waar zich een probleem voordoet.

samba logt zijn activiteiten aan de hand van een logniveau (zie het bestand smb.conf). bij loglevel = 1, zal samba alleen een ingang in het logbestand schrijven wanneer iemand een verbinding met uw host maakt en wanneer deze verbinding wordt verbroken. bij loglevel = 2, zal samba tevens een ingang naar het logbestand schrijven wanneer iemand een bestand opent of weer sluit. een hoger logniveau levert nog meer informatie in het logbestand op.
samba logs its actions according to the log level (see smb. conf). if loglevel = 1, samba logs only when somebody connects to your machine and when this connection is closed again. if log level = 2, it logs also if somebody opens a file and if he closes the file again. if the log level is higher than 2, yet more stuff is logged.
