እንግዲያስ ቀጥቼ እፈታዋለሁ። በበዓሉ አንድ ይፈታላቸው ዘንድ ግድ ነበረና።

and again, i will put my trust in him. and again, behold i and the children which god hath given me.

now i will go away from you and that you call upon , other than allah . i will call on my lord .
« እናንተንም ከአላህ ሌላ የምትግገዙትንም እርቃለሁ ፡ ፡ ጌታዬንም እግገዛለሁ ፡ ፡ ጌታዬን በመገዛት የማፍር አለመኾኔን እከጅላለሁ ፡ ፡ »

this ( i have done ) so that he will know i did not secretly betray him , and that allah does not guide the guile of the treacherous .
( ዩሱፍ ) « ይህ ( ጌታዬ ) ሩቅ ሆኖ ሳለ ያልከዳሁት መሆኔን አላህም የከዳተኞችን ተንኮል የማያቃና መሆኑን እንዲያውቅ ነው ፤ » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

no man can come to me, except the father which hath sent me draw him: and i will raise him up at the last day.
የላከኝ አብ ከሳበው በቀር ወደ እኔ ሊመጣ የሚችል የለም፥ እኔም በመጨረሻው ቀን አስነሣዋለሁ።

and he said unto them the third time, why, what evil hath he done? i have found no cause of death in him: i will therefore chastise him, and let him go.
ሦስተኛም። ምን ነው? ያደረገውስ ክፋት ምንድር ነው? ለሞት የሚያደርሰው በደል አላገኘሁበትም፤ ስለዚህ ቀጥቼ እፈታዋለሁ አላቸው።

and that : establish prayer and fear him ; and it is he unto whom ye shall be gathered .
ሶላትንም በደንቡ ስገዱ ፍሩትም ፤ ( በማለት ታዘዝን ) ፡ ፡ እርሱም ያ ወደርሱ ብቻ የምትሰበሰቡበት ነው ፡ ፡

who is it that will lend allah a good loan , that he may multiply it for him and [ that ] there may be a noble reward for him ?
ያ ለአላህ መልካም ብድርን የሚያበድር ለእርሱም ( አላህ ) የሚያነባብርለት ሰው ማነው ? ለእርሱም መልካም ምንዳ አልለው ፡ ፡

allah has cursed him ; and he said : most certainly i will take of thy servants an appointed portion :
« አላህ የረገመውን ከባሮችህም የተወሰነን ድርሻ በእርግጥ እይዛለሁ » ያለውን ( ሰይጣን እንጅ ሌላን አይከተሉም ) ፡ ፡

and keep them from evil deeds , and whom thou keepest from evil deeds this day , indeed thou hast mercy on him , and that is the mighty achievement .
« ከቅጣቶችም ጠብቃቸው ፡ ፡ በዚያ ቀንም የምትጠብቃውን ሰው በእርግጥ አዘንክለት ፡ ፡ » ይህም እርሱ ታላቅ ማግኘት ነው ፡ ፡

and that you should keep up prayer and be careful of ( your duty to ) him ; and he it is to whom you shall be gathered .
ሶላትንም በደንቡ ስገዱ ፍሩትም ፤ ( በማለት ታዘዝን ) ፡ ፡ እርሱም ያ ወደርሱ ብቻ የምትሰበሰቡበት ነው ፡ ፡

and that they who have been given knowledge may know that it is the truth from thy lord and believe in it , and so their hearts be humble unto him ; and assuredly god ever guides those who believe to a straight path .
እነዚያም ዕውቀትን የተሰጡት እርሱ ( ቁርኣን ) ከጌታህ የኾነ እውነት መኾኑን እንዲያውቁና በእርሱ እንዲያምኑ ልቦቻቸውም ለእርሱ እንዲረኩ ( ያጠነክራል ) ፡ ፡ አላህም እነዚያን ያመኑትን ወደ ቀጥተኛው መንገድ በእርግጥ መሪ ነው ፡ ፡

hast thou not observed those who assert that they believe in that which hath been sent down unto thee and that which hath been sent down before thee desiring to go to the devil for judgement , whereas they have been commanded to disbelieve in him ; and satan desireth to lead them far astray .
ወደ እነዚያ እነርሱ በአንተ ላይ በተወረደውና ከአንተ በፊትም በተወረደው አምነናል ወደሚሉት ፤ አላየህምን በእርሱ እንዲክዱ በእርግጥ የታዘዙ ሲኾኑ ወደ ጣዖት መፋረድን ይፈልጋሉ ፡ ፡ ሰይጣንም ( ከእውነት ) የራቀን መሳሳት ሊያሳስታቸው ይፈልጋል ፡ ፡

a refuge to run to we live in unpredictable times. the things we value, the people we care about, the lives we lead—all of it feels uncertain and unstable. king david could relate. after years of faithful service to king saul, the king plotted to murder david. desperate, david fled to gath—the home of the giant david killed in battle. after being recognized by the people of gath, david was so overwhelmed by fear that he pretended to go insane. the king of gath was repulsed by his “insanity” and so he threw david out of the city. by this time, david had escaped death multiple times. he was surrounded by people who hated him, and he had every reason to be anxious and fearful. but in the midst of his uncertain circumstances, he creates a psalm to praise god for his greatness. i will praise the lord at all times. i will constantly speak his praises. psalm 34:1 nlt worshiping god put david’s problems into perspective. situations could shift, but god wouldn’t. he was still powerful, constant, and ever-present. he didn’t always remove david from hard situations, but he saw david through every difficult moment. i sought the lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. psalm 34:4 niv god was the one who rescued david from his enemies. god was the one who repeatedly provided for his people in the midst of hard times. and if he did it before, he can do it again. right now, reflect on the ways god has been faithful to you. in what ways has he protected, provided, strengthened, and encouraged you? if you’re struggling to think of examples, that’s okay. if praise doesn’t come easy to you right now, just read through psalm 34 and let its words become your personal prayer. the same god that david talks about is still doing great things in our world. he still listens to the cries of his people. god is still present in our pain, he is still at work in our uncertainty, and he is still all-powerful—even when we feel powerless. when nothing in life makes sense—you can still run to him and find refuge.
