but they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto iconium.
እነርሱ ግን የእግራቸውን ትቢያ አራግፈውባቸው ወደ ኢቆንዮን መጡ።

lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
እርስ በርሳችሁ ውሸት አትነጋገሩ፥ አሮጌውን ሰው ከሥራው ጋር ገፋችሁታልና፥

and there is a sign in the night for them . we strip off the day from it and they are left in darkness ,
ሌሊቱም ለእነርሱ ምልክት ነው ፡ ፡ ከእርሱ ላይ ቀንን እንገፍፋለን ፡ ፡ ወዲያውኑም እነርሱ በጨለማ ውስጥ ይገባሉ ፡ ፡

and a sign unto them is the night . we draw off the day therefrom , and lo ! they are darkened .
ሌሊቱም ለእነርሱ ምልክት ነው ፡ ፡ ከእርሱ ላይ ቀንን እንገፍፋለን ፡ ፡ ወዲያውኑም እነርሱ በጨለማ ውስጥ ይገባሉ ፡ ፡

so we delivered him and those with him by mercy from us , and we cut off the last of those who rejected our communications and were not believers .
እርሱንና እነዚያንም አብረውት የነበሩትን ከእኛ በኾነው ችሮታ ( ከቅጣት ) አዳንናቸው ፡ ፡ የእነዚያንም በተአምራታችን ያስተባበሉትንና አማኞች ያልነበሩትን መሠረት ቆረጥን ፡ ፡

if the unbelievers but knew when that they shall not ward off the fire from their faces nor from their backs , neither shall they be helped !
እነዚያ የካዱት ከፊቶቻቸውና ከጀርባዎቻቸው ላይ እሳትን የማይከለክሉበትን እነሱም የማይረዳዱበትን ጊዜ ቢያውቁ ኖሮ ( ይህንን አይሉም ነበር ) ፡ ፡

cut off the hands of a male or female thief as a punishment for their deed and a lesson for them from god . god is majestic and all-wise .
ሰራቂውንና ሰራቂይቱንም በሠሩት ነገር ለቅጣት ከአላህ የኾነን መቀጣጫ እጆቻቸውን ቁረጡ ፡ ፡ አላህም አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነው ፡ ፡

and when allah promised you one of the two parties that it shall be yours and you loved that the one not armed should he yours and allah desired to manifest the truth of what was true by his words and to cut off the root of the unbelievers .
አላህም ከሁለቱ ጭፍሮች አንደኛዋን እርሷ ለናንተ ናት ሲል ተስፋ በሰጣችሁ ጊዜ ፣ የሀይል ባለቤት ያልኾነችውም ( ነጋዴይቱ ) ለናንተ ልትኾን በወደዳችሁ ጊዜ ፣ አላህም በተስፋ ቃላቱ እውነትን ማረጋገጡን ሊገልጽና የከሓዲዎችንም መጨረሻ ሊቆርጥ በሻ ጊዜ ( የኾነውን አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

so we delivered him , and those with him , by a mercy from us ; and we cut off the last remnant of those who cried lies to our signs and were not believers .
እርሱንና እነዚያንም አብረውት የነበሩትን ከእኛ በኾነው ችሮታ ( ከቅጣት ) አዳንናቸው ፡ ፡ የእነዚያንም በተአምራታችን ያስተባበሉትንና አማኞች ያልነበሩትን መሠረት ቆረጥን ፡ ፡

and if you fear treachery from a people , break off [ the treaty ] with them in a like manner . indeed allah does not like the treacherous .
ከሕዝቦችም ክዳትን ብትፈራ ( የኪዳኑን መፍረስ በማወቅ ) በመተካከል ላይ ኾናችሁ ኪዳናቸውን ወደነሱ ጣልላቸው ፡ ፡ አላህ ከዳተኞችን አይወድምና ፡ ፡

and cut off the hands of those men or women who are thieves – a recompense of their deeds , a punishment from allah ; and allah is almighty , wise .
ሰራቂውንና ሰራቂይቱንም በሠሩት ነገር ለቅጣት ከአላህ የኾነን መቀጣጫ እጆቻቸውን ቁረጡ ፡ ፡ አላህም አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነው ፡ ፡

and when god promised you one of the two parties should be yours , and you were wishing that the one not accoutred should be yours ; but god was desiring to verify the truth by his words , and to cut off the unbelievers to the last remnant ,
አላህም ከሁለቱ ጭፍሮች አንደኛዋን እርሷ ለናንተ ናት ሲል ተስፋ በሰጣችሁ ጊዜ ፣ የሀይል ባለቤት ያልኾነችውም ( ነጋዴይቱ ) ለናንተ ልትኾን በወደዳችሁ ጊዜ ፣ አላህም በተስፋ ቃላቱ እውነትን ማረጋገጡን ሊገልጽና የከሓዲዎችንም መጨረሻ ሊቆርጥ በሻ ጊዜ ( የኾነውን አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

" do ye indeed approach men , and cut off the highway ? - and practise wickedness ( even ) in your councils ? " but his people gave no answer but this : they said : " bring us the wrath of allah if thou tellest the truth . "
« እናንተ በእርግጥ ወንዶችን ትመጣላችሁን መንገድንም ትቆርጣላችሁን በሸንጓችሁም የሚነወርን ነገር ትሠራላችሁን » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡ የሕዝቦቹም መልስ « ከእውነተኞቹ እንደ ሆንክ የአላህን ቅጣት አምጣብን » ማለት እንጂ ሌላ አልነበረም ፡ ፡
