በዚያን ቀን ኢየሱስ ከቤት ወጥቶ በባሕር አጠገብ ተቀመጠ፤

the day when they will come out of the graves quickly as racing to a goal ,
ወደ ጣዖቶች እንደሚሽቀዳደሙ ኾነው ከመቃብሮቻቸው ፈጥነው የሚወጡበትን ቀን ( እስከሚገናኙ ድረስ ተዋቸው ) ፡ ፡

and god caused you to grow out of the earth ,
አላህም ከምድር ማብቀልን አበቀላችሁ ፡ ፡

allah has caused you to grow out of the earth ,
አላህም ከምድር ማብቀልን አበቀላችሁ ፡ ፡

then he sought to turn them out of the land , but we drowned him and all his followers .
ከምድርም ሊቀሰቅሳቸው አሰበ ፡ ፡ እርሱንና ከእርሱ ጋር የነበሩትንም ሰዎች ሁሉንም አሰጠምናቸው ፡ ፡

and set out to them an example of the people of the town , when the apostles came to it .
ለእነርሱም የከተማይቱን ( የአንጾኪያን ) ሰዎች ምሳሌ መልክተኞቹ በመጧት ጊዜ ( የኾነውን ) ግለጽላቸው ፡ ፡

and you carve out of the mountains , homes , with skill .
« ብልሆች ኾናችሁ ከጋራዎች ቤቶችንም ትጠርባላችሁ ፡ ፡

and allah has caused you to grow out of the earth so wondrously ,
አላህም ከምድር ማብቀልን አበቀላችሁ ፡ ፡

so he desired to destroy them out of the earth , but we drowned him and those with him all together ;
ከምድርም ሊቀሰቅሳቸው አሰበ ፡ ፡ እርሱንና ከእርሱ ጋር የነበሩትንም ሰዎች ሁሉንም አሰጠምናቸው ፡ ፡

for it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of hell-fire :
እርሷ በገሀነም አዘቅት ውስጥ የምትወጣ ዛፍ ናት ፡ ፡

the unbelievers have said , " shall we and our fathers be brought out of the graves after we become dust ?
እነዚያም የካዱት አሉ « እኛም አባቶቻችንም ዐፈር በኾን ጊዜ እኛ ( ከመቃብር ) የምንወጣ ነን

" indeed are we shut out ( of the fruits of our labour ) "
« በእርግጥም እኛ ( ከመጠቀም ) የተከለከልን ነን » ( ትሉ ነበር ) ፡ ፡

( also consider how he dealt with ) the thamud , who carved their houses out of the rocks in the valley .
በሰሙድም በእነዚያ በሸለቆው ቋጥኝን የቆረጡ በኾኑት ፡ ፡

indeed , allah is the cleaver of grain and date seeds . he brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living .
አላህ ቅንጣትንና የፍሬን አጥንት ፈልቃቂ ነው ፡ ፡ ሕያውን ከሙት ያወጣል ፤ ሙትንም ከሕያው አውጪ ነው ፡ ፡ እርሱ አላህ ነው ፤ ታዲያ ( ከእምነት ) እንዴት ትመለሳላችሁ ( ትርቃላችሁ )

he , who made for you fire out of the green tree , and , behold , you light fire from it !
ያ ለእናንተ በእርጥብ ዛፍ እሳትን ያደረገላችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ ወዲያውኑም እናንተ ከእርሱ ታቀጣጥላላችሁ ፡ ፡

and they denied them , though their souls acknowledged them , wrongfully and out of pride . behold , how was the end of the workers of corruption !
ነፍሶቻቸውም ያረጋገጧት ሲኾኑ ለበደልና ለኩራት በእርሷ ካዱ ፡ ፡ የአመጸኞችም ፍጻሜ እንዴት እንደ ነበረ ተመልከት ፡ ፡

" the same who produces for you fire out of the green tree , when behold ! ye kindle therewith ( your own fires ) !
ያ ለእናንተ በእርጥብ ዛፍ እሳትን ያደረገላችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ ወዲያውኑም እናንተ ከእርሱ ታቀጣጥላላችሁ ፡ ፡

they give to unknown images a share out of the sustenance that we gave them . by god , you will be questioned about that which you have falsely invented .
ለማያውቁትም ( ጣዖታት ) ከሰጠናቸው ሲሳይ ፈንታን ያደርጋሉ ፡ ፡ በአላህ እምላለሁ ፤ ትቀጣጥፉት ከነበራችሁት ሁሉ በእርግጥ ትጠየቃላችሁ ፡ ፡

and they rejected them , while their [ inner ] selves were convinced thereof , out of injustice and haughtiness . so see how was the end of the corrupters .
ነፍሶቻቸውም ያረጋገጧት ሲኾኑ ለበደልና ለኩራት በእርሷ ካዱ ፡ ፡ የአመጸኞችም ፍጻሜ እንዴት እንደ ነበረ ተመልከት ፡ ፡

we shall soon come with our armies which they will not be able to face . we shall drive them out of ( the land ) with ignominy , and they will be humbled . "
« ወደእነሱ ተመለስ ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም በእርሷ ችሎታ በሌላቸው ሰራዊት እንመጣባቸዋለን ፡ ፡ ከእርሷም እነርሱ የተዋረዱ ኾነው በእርግጥ እናወጣቸዋለን » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡
