Հրեաներն ասացին. «Տեսէ՛ք ինչքան էր սիրում նրան»:

Ինչպէս իմ Հայրն ինձ սիրեց, ես էլ ձեզ սիրեցի. իմ սիրոյ մէջ հաստատո՛ւն մնացէք:

որովհետեւ հեթանոսներն են այդ բոլորը որոնում. քանի որ ձեր երկնաւոր Հայրը գիտէ, թէ այդ բոլորը ձեզ պէտք է:

Զատկի տօնից առաջ Յիսուս իմացաւ, որ հասել է իր ժամը, որպէսզի այս աշխարհից Հօր մօտ փոխադրուի. սիրեց իւրայիններին, որ այս աշխարհում են, իսպառ սիրեց նրանց:

Լսեցիք, որ ձեզ ասացի, թէ՝ գնում եմ եւ կը գամ ձեզ մօտ. եթէ ինձ սիրէիք, ապա դուք ուրախ պիտի լինէիք, որ ես Հօր մօտ եմ գնում, որովհետեւ իմ Հայրը մեծ է, քան ես:

Եւ իր շուրջը բոլորի վրայ զայրագին նայելով՝ ասաց նրան. «Ձեռքդ երկարի՛ր». եւ նա երկարեց, եւ նրա չորացած ձեռքը առողջացաւ միւսի նման:

he that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
«Նա, որ ի վերուստ է գալիս, վեր է ամենքից. նա, որ այս երկրից է, երկրաւոր է եւ երկրաւոր բաների մասին է խօսում:

Իսահակը մտաւ իր մօր՝ Սառայի տունը, առաւ Ռեբեկային, եւ սա դարձաւ նրա կինը: Իսահակը սիրեց նրան եւ մխիթարուեց իր մօր՝ Սառայի սգից:
