Vous avez cherché: initium (Anglais - Italien)

it is precisely augustine, in de praedestinatione sanctorum , who recognizes that for the initium fidei it is not enough that the truth be announced.

first, why did st augustine come to support the thesis that even the first steps in faith (the initium fidei ) and goodwill are the work, not only of the person, but also of god’s mercy, whereas previously, following other ecclesiastical authors, he had assigned it only to the will of man? jonas, as i mentioned, several times repeats that the change made by the bishop of hippo was due to pressure from the pelagians (p. 396), he even speaks of “a pelagian trap” into which augustine is alleged to have fallen (p. 398).
