آخرکار ہم اپنے رب کے اِس فرمان کے مستحق ہو گئے کہ ہم عذاب کا مزا چکھنے والے ہیں

and when the two parties saw each other, the companions of musa said: verily we are overtaken.
جب دونوں جماعتیں آمنے سامنے ہوئیں تو موسیٰ کے ساتھی کہنے لگے کہ ہم تو پکڑ لئے گئے

and when the two hosts saw each other, those with moses said: lo! we are indeed caught.
جب دونوں جماعتیں آمنے سامنے ہوئیں تو موسیٰ کے ساتھی کہنے لگے کہ ہم تو پکڑ لئے گئے

when the two groups sighted each other, the followers of moses said, “we are being overtaken.”
جب دونوں جماعتیں آمنے سامنے ہوئیں تو موسیٰ کے ساتھی کہنے لگے کہ ہم تو پکڑ لئے گئے

and when the two bodies saw each other, the people of moses said: "we are sure to be overtaken."
جب دونوں جماعتیں آمنے سامنے ہوئیں تو موسیٰ کے ساتھی کہنے لگے کہ ہم تو پکڑ لئے گئے

and when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of musa (moses) said: "we are sure to be overtaken."
جب دونوں جماعتیں آمنے سامنے ہوئیں تو موسیٰ کے ساتھی کہنے لگے کہ ہم تو پکڑ لئے گئے

as they came upon david -- and he was frightened of them -- they said: “be not afraid. we are just two litigants: one of us has committed excess against the other. so judge rightly between us, and be not unjust; and guide us to the right way.
جب وہ داؤد (علیہ السلام) کے پاس اندر آگئے تو وہ اُن سے گھبرائے، انہوں نے کہا: گھبرائیے نہیں، ہم (ایک) مقدّمہ میں دو فریق ہیں، ہم میں سے ایک نے دوسرے پر زیادتی کی ہے۔ آپ ہمارے درمیان حق و انصاف کے ساتھ فیصلہ کر دیں اور حد سے تجاوز نہ کریں اور ہمیں سیدھی راہ کی طرف رہبری کر دیں،

they said [to each other], "surely joseph and his brother [benjamin] are dearer to our father than ourselves, although we are a band. truly, our father is clearly mistaken.
(وہ وقت یاد کیجئے) جب یوسف (علیہ السلام) کے بھائیوں نے کہا کہ واقعی یوسف (علیہ السلام) اور اس کا بھائی ہمارے باپ کو ہم سے زیادہ محبوب ہیں حالانکہ ہم (دس افراد پر مشتمل) زیادہ قوی جماعت ہیں۔ بیشک ہمارے والد (ان کی محبت کی) کھلی وارفتگی میں گم ہیں،
