verily your lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful.
இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக உம் இறைவன் மனிதர்கள் மீது மிக்க கிருபையுடையவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்; ஆனால் அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் நன்றி செலுத்துவதில்லை.

and when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due.
ஆனால், அவர்கள் அளந்தோ, நிறுத்தோ கொடுக்கும்போது குறை(த்து நஷ்டமுண்டா)க்குகிறார்கள்.

surely allah does not do any injustice to men, but men are unjust to themselves.
நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மனிதர்களுக்கு எவ்வித அநியாயமும் செய்வதில்லை - எனினும் மனிதர்கள் தமக்குத் தாமே அநியாயம் செய்து கொள்கிறார்கள்.

and surely your lord is the lord of grace to men, but most of them are not grateful.
இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக உம் இறைவன் மனிதர்கள் மீது மிக்க கிருபையுடையவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்; ஆனால் அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் நன்றி செலுத்துவதில்லை.

and certainly we have set forth to men in this quran similitudes of every sort that they may mind.
இன்னும், இந்த குர்ஆனில் மனிதர்களுக்காக எல்லாவித உதாரணங்களையும், அவர்கள் சிந்தித்துப் பார்ப்பதற்காக நாம் திடமாக எடுத்துக் கூறியுள்ளோம்.

here is a plain statement to men, a guidance and instruction to those who fear allah!
இது மனிதர்களுக்கு (சத்தியத்தின்) தெளிவான விளக்கமாகவும், பயபக்தியுடையோருக்கு நேர் வழிகாட்டியாகவும், நற்போதனையாகவும் இருக்கின்றது.

"and withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief.
"அன்றியும், உங்களையும், உங்களுக்கு முன்னாலிருந்த படைப்புகளையும் படைத்த அவனுக்கே அஞ்சங்கள்" (எனக் கூறினார்.)

by the leave of its lord its fruit in all seasons, god presents words of wisdom to men that they might reflect.
அது தன்னுடைய இறைவனின் அனுமதியைக் கொண்டு ஒவ்வொரு காலத்திலும் தன்னுடைய கனியைக் கொடுத்துக் கொண்டே இருக்கிறது மக்கள் நல்லுணர்வு பெரும் பொருட்டு அல்லாஹ் (இத்தகைய) உதாரணங்களைக் கூறுகிறான்.

indeed you come to men with desire instead of women! indeed, you are a profligate lot.’
"மெய்யாகவே நீங்கள் பெண்களை விட்டு விட்டு, ஆண்களிடம் காம இச்சையைத் தணித்துக் கொள்ள வருகிறீர்கள் - நீங்கள் வரம்பு மீறும் சமூகத்தாராகவே இருக்கின்றீர்கள்."

and he shall speak to men in his cradle, and as a grown man, and shall be one of the righteous."
"மேலும், அவர் (குழந்தையாகத்) தொட்டிலில் இருக்கும்போதும், (பால்யம் தாண்டி) முதிர்ச்சியடைந்த பருவத்திலும் அவர் மக்களுடன் பேசுவார்; இன்னும் (நல்லொழுக்கமுடைய) சான்றோர்களில் ஒருவராகவும் அவர் இருப்பார்."

we have given examples of every kind to men in this qur'an in various ways, and even then most men disdain everything but unbelief,
நிச்சயமாக, இந்த குர்ஆனில் மனிதர்களுக்காக சகலவிதமான உதாரணங்களையும் (மிகவும் தெளிவாக) விவரித்துள்ளோம்; எனினும், மனிதர்களில் மிகுதியானவர்கள் (இதை) நிராகரிக்காதிருக்கவில்லை.

and the companions of the ramparts call to men whose marks they recognize: 'neither your amassing nor your pride have availed you.
சிகரங்களிலிருப்பவர்கள், சில மனிதர்களை - அவர்கள் அடையாளங்களால் அறிந்து கொண்டு - அவர்களைக் கூப்பிட்டுக் கூறுவார்கள்; "நீங்கள் உலகத்தில் சேமித்து வைத்திருந்தவையும், நீங்கள் பெருமையடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவையும், உங்களுக்குப் பலனளிக்கவில்லையே!"

allah is he who made for you the night that you may rest therein and the day to see; most surely allah is gracious to men, but most men do not give thanks.
நீங்கள் இளைப்பாறுவதற்காக இரவையும், நீங்கள் பார்ப்பதற்காக பகலையும் அல்லாஹ்தான் படைத்தான்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மனிதர்கள் மீது அருள் பொழிகின்றான்; ஆயினும் மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் நன்றி செலுத்துவதில்லை.

and the dwellers of the most elevated places shall call out to men whom they will recognize by their marks saying: of no avail were to you your amassings and your behaving haughtily:
சிகரங்களிலிருப்பவர்கள், சில மனிதர்களை - அவர்கள் அடையாளங்களால் அறிந்து கொண்டு - அவர்களைக் கூப்பிட்டுக் கூறுவார்கள்; "நீங்கள் உலகத்தில் சேமித்து வைத்திருந்தவையும், நீங்கள் பெருமையடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவையும், உங்களுக்குப் பலனளிக்கவில்லையே!"

be not as those who went forth from their habitations swaggering boastfully to show off to men, and barring from god's way; and god encompasses the things they do.
பெருமைக்காகவும், மனிதர்களுக்குக் காண்பிப்பதற்காகவும் தங்கள் வீடுகளிலிருந்துக் கிளம்பி (முஸ்லிம்களுக்கெதிராக பத்ரில்) மக்களை அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையை விட்டுத் தடுத்தார்களே அவர்களைப் போன்று நீங்கள் ஆகிவிடாதீர்கள் - அவர்கள் செய்வதை அல்லாஹ் சூழ்ந்து அறிந்தவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

and the dwellers of the elevations will call to men they recognize by their features, saying, “your hoardings did not avail you, nor did your arrogance.”
சிகரங்களிலிருப்பவர்கள், சில மனிதர்களை - அவர்கள் அடையாளங்களால் அறிந்து கொண்டு - அவர்களைக் கூப்பிட்டுக் கூறுவார்கள்; "நீங்கள் உலகத்தில் சேமித்து வைத்திருந்தவையும், நீங்கள் பெருமையடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவையும், உங்களுக்குப் பலனளிக்கவில்லையே!"

and if allah should hasten the evil to men as they desire the hastening on of good, their doom should certainly have been decreed for them; but we leave those alone who hope not for our meeting in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.
நன்மையை அடைய மக்கள் அவசரப்படுவது போன்று அல்லாஹ்வும் (குற்றம் புரிந்த) மக்களுக்கு தீங்கிழைதக்க அவசரப்பட்டால், இதற்குள் நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுடைய காலம், அவர்களுக்கு முடிவு பெற்றேயிருக்கும்; எனினும் நம் சந்திப்பை(ச் சிறிதும்) நம்பாதவர்களை, அவர்களுடைய வழி கேட்டிலேயே தட்டழிந்து அலையுமாறு (சிறிது காலம் இம்மையில்) நாம் விட்டு வைக்கிறோம்.

'lord,' said zachariah, 'appoint to me a sign.' 'thy sign,' god said, 'is that thou shalt not speak, save by tokens, to men for three days. and mention thy lord oft, and give glory at evening and dawn.'
"என் இறைவனே! (இதற்கான) ஓர் அறிகுறியை எனக்குக் கொடுத்தருள்வாயாக!" என்று (ஜகரிய்யா) கேட்டார். அதற்கு (இறைவன்), "உமக்கு அறிகுறியாவது, மூன்று நாட்களுக்குச் சைகைகள் மூலமாக அன்றி நீர் மக்களிடம் பேசமாட்டீர்! நீர் உம் இறைவனை அதிகமதிகம் நினைவு கூர்ந்து, அவனைக் காலையிலும் மாலையிலும் போற்றித் துதிப்பீராக!" என்று கூறினான்.
