พระองค์ตรัสว่า”จงจับมันขึ้นมาและอย่ากลัว เราจะให้มันกลับมาเป็นไม้เท้าตามสภาพก่อนของมัน”

จงลุกขึ้นเดินไปทั่วแผ่นดินทางด้านยาวด้านกว้าง เพราะเราจะยกให้เจ้า

in order that we may revive a dead city with it, and give it to the many beasts and men that we have created, to drink.
เพื่อเราจะให้มีชีวิตด้วยมัน (น้ำ) แก่แผ่นดินที่แห้งแล้ง และเราจะให้สิ่งที่เราสร้างมันขึ้นมา เช่น ปศุสัตว์ และมนุษย์มากมาย ดื่มมัน

for all the land which thou seest, to thee will i give it, and to thy seed for ever.
เพราะว่าแผ่นดินทั้งหมดซึ่งเจ้าเห็นนี้เราจะยกให้เจ้าและเชื้อสายของเจ้าตลอดไปเป็นนิตย

we have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and we have the power to take it away.
และเราได้หลั่งน้ำให้ลงมาจากฟากฟ้าตามปริมาณ แล้วเราได้ให้มันขังอยู่ในแผ่นดิน และแท้จริงเราเป็นผู้สามารถอย่างแน่นอนที่จะให้มันเหือดหายไป

and if a man eat of the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give it unto the priest with the holy thing.
ถ้าคนใดรับประทานสิ่งบริสุทธิ์โดยมิได้เจตนา เขาจะต้องเพิ่มค่าของนั้นหนึ่งในห้า และมอบแก่ปุโรหิตพร้อมกับสิ่งบริสุทธิ์นั้

and if allah touch you with affliction, there is none to take it off but he; and if he visit you with good, then he has power over all things.
และหากว่าอัลลอฮ์ ทรงให้ความเดือดร้อนอย่างหนึ่งอย่างใดประสบแก่เจ้า แล้วก็ไม่มีผู้ใดจะเปลื้องมันได้ นอกจากพระองค์เท่านั้น และหากพระองค์ทรงให้ความดีอย่างหนึ่งอย่างใดประสบแก่เจ้า แท้จริงพระองค์นั้นทรงเดชานุภาพเหนือทุกสิ่งทุกอย่าง

and we have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. and indeed, we are able to take it away.
และเราได้หลั่งน้ำให้ลงมาจากฟากฟ้าตามปริมาณ แล้วเราได้ให้มันขังอยู่ในแผ่นดิน และแท้จริงเราเป็นผู้สามารถอย่างแน่นอนที่จะให้มันเหือดหายไป

no man taketh it from me, but i lay it down of myself. i have power to lay it down, and i have power to take it again. this commandment have i received of my father.
ไม่มีผู้ใดชิงชีวิตไปจากเราได้ แต่เราสละชีวิตด้วยใจสมัครของเราเอง เรามีสิทธิที่จะสละชีวิตนั้น และมีสิทธิที่จะรับคืนอีก พระบัญชานี้เราได้รับมาจากพระบิดาของเรา

and we sent down from the heaven water in measure, and we caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away we are able.
และเราได้หลั่งน้ำให้ลงมาจากฟากฟ้าตามปริมาณ แล้วเราได้ให้มันขังอยู่ในแผ่นดิน และแท้จริงเราเป็นผู้สามารถอย่างแน่นอนที่จะให้มันเหือดหายไป

and give the women (on marriage) their dower as a free gift; but if they, of their own good pleasure, remit any part of it to you, take it and enjoy it with right good cheer.
และจงให้แก่บรรดาหญิงซึ่งมะฮัรของนาง ด้วยความเต็มใจ แต่ถ้านางเห็นชอบที่จะให้สิ่งหนึ่งแก่พวกเจ้าจากมะฮัรนั้นแล้ว ก็จงบริโภคสิ่งนั้นด้วยความเอร็ดอร่อยและโอชา

and because they used to take usury whereas they were forbidden from it, and they used to wrongfully devour people’s wealth; and for the disbelievers among them, we have kept prepared a painful punishment.
และเนื่องด้วยการที่พวกเขาเอาดอกเบี้ยทั้ง ๆ ที่พวกเขาถูกห้ามในเรื่องนั้น และเนื่องด้วยการที่พวกเขากินทรัพย์ของผู้คนโดยไม่ชอบ และเราได้เตรียมไว้แล้ว สำหรับผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธาทั้งหลาย ซึ่งการลงโทษอันเจ็บแสบ

and if you decide to dispense with a wife in order to take another, do not take away anything of what you might have given the first one, even if you had given her a heap of gold. would you take it back by slandering her and committing a manifest wrong?
และหากพวกเจ้าต้องการเปลี่ยนคู่ครองคนหนึ่งแทนที่ของคู่ครองอีกคนหนึ่ง และพวกเจ้าได้ให้แก่นางหนึ่งในหมู่นางเหล่านั้น ซึ่งทรัพย์อันมากมายก็ตาม ก็จงอย่าได้เอาสิ่งใดจากทรัพย์นั้นคืน พวกเจ้าจะเอามันคืนด้วยการอุปโลกน์ความเท็จและการกระทำบาปอันชัดเจนกระนั้นหรือ

and of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement.
และในหมู่มนุษย์มีผู้ซื้อเอาเรื่องไร้สาระ เพื่อทำให้เขาหลงไปจากทางของอัลลอฮฺ โดยปราศจากความรู้ และถือเอามันเป็นเรื่องขบขัน ชนเหล่านี้พวกเขาจะได้รับการลงโทษอันอัปยศ

and ornan said unto david, take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo,i give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering; i give it all.
แล้วโอรนันกราบทูลดาวิดว่า "ขอทรงรับไปเถิดพ่ะย่ะค่ะ และขอกษัตริย์เจ้านายของข้าพระองค์กระทำสิ่งที่พระองค์ทรงเห็นชอบเถิด นี่พ่ะย่ะค่ะ ข้าพระองค์ขอถวายวัวสำหรับเครื่องเผาบูชา และถวายเลื่อนนวดข้าวให้เป็นฟืน แล้วข้าวสาลีเป็นธัญญบูชา ข้าพระองค์ขอถวายหมด

and he spake unto ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, but if thou wilt give it, i pray thee, hear me: i will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and i will bury my dead there.
และท่านพูดกับเอโฟรนให้ชาวแผ่นดินนั้นฟังว่า "แต่ถ้าท่านยินยอมให้แล้ว ขอฟังข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าจะจ่ายค่านานั้น ขอรับเงินจากข้าพเจ้าเถิด และข้าพเจ้าจะได้ฝังผู้ตายของข้าพเจ้าที่นั่น
