dnia 13 maja 2015 r. komisja i państwa członkowskie otrzymały od urzędu opinię naukową, w której na podstawie przedstawionych danych stwierdzono, że nie wykazano związku przyczynowo-skutkowego pomiędzy spożywaniem połączenia wyciągu z wytłoczyn granatowca (standaryzowanego pod względem zawartości punikalaginów) oraz proszku z kłączy alpinii galgant (standaryzowanego pod względem zawartości octanu acetoksychawikolowego) a deklarowanym skutkiem.
