ndandithandazela lo mntwana; undinikile ke uyehova isicelo sam endandisicela kuye;
for this child i prayed; and the lord hath given me my petition which i asked of him:

bathi ke, bakubona, balibhengeza ilizwi elabe lithethwe kubo ngaye lo mntwana.
and when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

and the king said, divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.

and pharaoh's daughter said unto her, take this child away, and nurse it for me, and i will give thee thy wages. and the woman took the child, and nursed it.

yathetha le nkazana, ungowayo unyana ohleliyo, kukumkani (ngokuba ibisikwayimfesane ngonyana wayo), yathi, camagu, nkosi yam, seniyinika lo mntwana uhleliyo; musani ukumbulala afe. ke enye le yathi, makangabi ngowam, makangabi ngowakhe; mcandeni.
then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, o my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. but the other said, let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.
