እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! በመታገስና በሶላት ተረዱ ፡ ፡ አላህ ( በእርዳታው ) ከታጋሾች ጋር ነውና ፡ ፡

and [ mention ] ishmael and idrees and dhul-kifl ; all were of the patient .
ኢስማዒልንም ኢድሪስንም ዙልኪፍልንም ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ ሁሉም ከታጋሾቹ ናቸው ፡ ፡

የተከበሩት የኢብራሂም እንግዶች ወሬ መጥቶሃልን ?

has the story reached thee of the overwhelming ( event ) ?
የሸፋኝቱ ( ትንሣኤ ) ወሬ መጣህን ?

and most certainly we will try you until we have known those among you who exert themselves hard , and the patient , and made your case manifest .
ከእናንተም ታጋዮቹንና ታጋሾቹን እስከምናውቅ ፣ ወሬዎቻችሁንም እስከምንገልጽ ድረስ በእርግጥ እንሞክራችኋለን ፡ ፡

and [ remember ] ishmael , idris , and dhul-kifl — each of them was among the patient .
ኢስማዒልንም ኢድሪስንም ዙልኪፍልንም ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ ሁሉም ከታጋሾቹ ናቸው ፡ ፡

and if ye chastise , then chastise with the like of that wherewith ye were afflicted , and if ye endure patiently , then surely it is better for the patient .
ብትበቀሉም በርሱ በተቀጣችሁበት ብጤ ተበቀሉ ፡ ፡ ብትታገሱም እርሱ ለታጋሾች በእርግጥ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡

and obey allah and his apostle and do not quarrel for then you will be weak in hearts and your power will depart , and be patient ; surely allah is with the patient .
አላህንና መልክተኛውንም ታዘዙ ፡ ፡ አትጨቃጨቁም ፡ ፡ ትፈራላችሁና ኃይላችሁም ትኼዳለችና ፡ ፡ ታገሱም ፤ አላህ ከትዕግስተኞች ጋር ነውና ፡ ፡

and obey allah and his apostle , and do not dispute , or you will lose heart and your power will be gone . and be patient ; indeed allah is with the patient .
አላህንና መልክተኛውንም ታዘዙ ፡ ፡ አትጨቃጨቁም ፡ ፡ ትፈራላችሁና ኃይላችሁም ትኼዳለችና ፡ ፡ ታገሱም ፤ አላህ ከትዕግስተኞች ጋር ነውና ፡ ፡

and those who had been vouchsafed the knowledge said : woe unto you ! the reward of allah is best for him who believeth and worketh righteously and none shall attain it except the patient .
እነዚያም ዕውቀትን የተሰጡት « ወዮላችሁ ! የአላህ ምንዳ ለአመነ ሰው መልካምንም ለሠራ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡ ታጋሾችም እንጅ ሌላው አያገኛትም » አሉ ፡ ፡

many a prophet there has been , with whom thousands manifold have fought , and they fainted not for what smote them in god 's way , neither weakened , nor did they humble themselves ; and god loves the patient .
ከነቢይም ብዙ ሊቃውንት ከርሱ ጋር ኾነው የተዋጉ ብዙ ናቸው ፡ ፡ በአላህም መንገድ ለሚደርስባቸው ነገር አልፈሩም ፤ አልደከሙምም ፡ ፡ ( ለጠላት ) አልተዋረዱምም ፡ ፡ አላህም ትዕግስተኞችን ይወዳል ፡ ፡

and obey god , and his messenger , and do not quarrel together , and so lose heart , and your power depart ; and be patient ; surely god is with the patient .
አላህንና መልክተኛውንም ታዘዙ ፡ ፡ አትጨቃጨቁም ፡ ፡ ትፈራላችሁና ኃይላችሁም ትኼዳለችና ፡ ፡ ታገሱም ፤ አላህ ከትዕግስተኞች ጋር ነውና ፡ ፡
