በመናፍቃንም ( ነገር ) አላህ በሥራዎቻቸው ወደ ክህደት የመለሳቸው ሲኾኑ ሁለት ክፍሎች የኾናችሁት ለናንተ ምን አላችሁ አላህ ያጠመመውን ሰው ልታቀኑ ታስባላችሁን አላህም ያሳሳተውን ሰው ለእርሱ መንገድን ፈጽሞ አታገኝለትም ፡ ፡

o my father , indeed there has come to me of knowledge that which has not come to you , so follow me ; i will guide you to an even path .
« አባቴ ሆይ ! እኔ ከዕውቀት ያልመጣልህ ነገር በእርግጥ መጥቶልኛልና ተከተለኝ ፡ ፡ ቀጥተኛውን መንገድ እመራሃለሁና ፡ ፡

they will say , ‘ [ they all belong ] to allah . ’ say , ‘ then how are you so deluded ? ’
« በእርግጥ አላህ ነው » ይሉሃል ፡ ፡ « ታዲያ እንዴት ትታለላላችሁ » በላቸው ፡ ፡

he said , “ o my people , why are you quick to do evil rather than good ? if only you would seek god s forgiveness ’ , so that you may be shown mercy . ”
« ሕዝቦቼ ሆይ ! ከመልካሙ በፊት በክፉው ( ቅጣትን አምጣብን በማለት ) ለምን ታስቸኩላላችሀ ይታዘንላችሁ ዘንድ አላህን ምሕረትን አትለምኑምን » አላቸው ፡ ፡

" why are you surprised at the command of god ? god 's mercy and blessings be upon you , o members of this household , " they said .
« ከአላህ ትዕዛዝ ትደነቂያለሽን የአላህ ችሮታና በረከቶቹ በእናንተ በኢብራሂም ቤተሰቦች ላይ ይሁን እርሱ ምስጉን ለጋስ ነውና » አሉ ፡ ፡

“ and are you surprised that an advice came to you from your lord through a man amongst you , so that he may warn you and that you may fear , and so that there be mercy upon you ? ”
« አላህን ልትፈሩና ይታዘንላችሁም ዘንድ ከእናንተው ( ጎሳ ) በኾነ ሰው ላይ እንዲያስጠነቅቃችሁ ከጌታችሁ ግሳጼ ቢመጣላችሁ ትደነቃላችሁን » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

he ( yaqoub ) said : nay , your souls have made a matter light for you , so patience is good ; maybe allah will bring them all together to me ; surely he is the knowing , the wise .
( ያዕቆብ ) « አይደለም ነፍሶቻችሁ አንዳች ነገርን ለእናንተ ሸለሙላችሁ ፡ ፡ ( ሠራችሁትም ) ፡ ፡ መልካምም ትእግስት ( ማድረግ ) አለብኝ ፡ ፡ እነርሱን ( ሦስቱንም ) የተሰበሰቡ ሆነው አላህ ሊያመጣልኝ ይከጀላል ፡ ፡ እነሆ እርሱ ዐዋቂ ጥበበኛ ነውና » አላቸው ፡ ፡

did then the promise seem to you long in coming ? or did you desire that wrath should descend from your lord on you , so you broke your promise to me ( i.e. disbelieving in allah and worshipping the calf ) ? "
ሙሳም ወደ ሰዎቹ የተቆጣ ያዘነ ኾኖ ተመለሰ ፡ ፡ « ሕዝቦቼ ሆይ ! ጌታችሁ መልካም ተስፋን አልቀጠራችሁምን ቀጠሮው በእናንተ ላይ ረዘመባችሁን » ወይስ በእናንተ ላይ ከጌታችሁ ቅጣት ሊወርድባችሁ ፈለጋችሁና ቀጠሮየን አፈረሳችሁን አላቸው ፡ ፡
