« ግድግዳውማ በከተማይቱ ውስጥ የነበሩ የሁለት የቲሞች ወጣቶች ነበር ፡ ፡ በሥሩም ለእነርሱ የኾነ ( የተቀበረ ) ድልብ ነበረ ፡ ፡ አባታቸውም መልካም ሰው ነበር ፡ ፡ ጌታህም ለአካለ መጠን እንዲደርሱና ከጌታህ ችሮታ ድልባቸውን እንዲያወጡ ፈቀደ ፡ ፡ በፈቃዴም አልሠራሁትም ፡ ፡ ይህ በእርሱ ላይ መታገስን ያልቻልከው ነገር ፍች ነው » ( አለው ) ፡ ፡

he said : " because thou hast thrown me out of the way , lo ! i will lie in wait for them on thy straight way :
« ስለአጠመምከኝም ለእነርሱ በቀጥተኛው መንገድ ላይ በእርግጥ እቀመጥባቸዋለሁ » አለ ፡ ፡

god asked , " what made you disobey me ? " satan replied , " i am better than adam , for you have created me out of fire and adam out of clay . "
( አላህ ) « ባዘዝኩህ ጊዜ ከመስገድ ምን ከለከለህ » አለው ፡ ፡ « እኔ ከርሱ የበለጥኩ ነኝ ፡ ፡ ከእሳት ፈጠርከኝ ፡ ፡ እርሱን ግን ከጭቃ ፈጠርከው » አለ ፡ ፡

ወላጆቹንም በዙፋኑ ላይ አወጣቸው ፡ ፡ ለእርሱም ሰጋጆች ኾነው ወረዱለት ፡ ፡ « አባቴም ሆይ ! ይህ ፊት ያየኋት ሕልሜ ፍች ነው ፡ ፡ ጌታ በእርግጥ እውነት አደረጋት ፡ ፡ ከወህኒ ቤትም ባወጣኝና ሰይጣንም በእኔና በወንድሞቼ መካከል ከአበላሸ በኋላ እናንተን ከገጠር ባመጣችሁ ጊዜ በእርግጥ ለኔ መልካም ዋለልኝ ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ለሚሻው ነገር እዝነቱ ረቂቅ ነው ፡ ፡ እነሆ እሱ ዐዋቂው ጥበበኛው ነው » አለ ፡ ፡

he was gracious in getting me out of the prison , and bringing you out of the desert to me after the discord created by satan between me and my brothers , for my lord is gracious to whomsoever he please . he is indeed all-knowing and all-wise .
ወላጆቹንም በዙፋኑ ላይ አወጣቸው ፡ ፡ ለእርሱም ሰጋጆች ኾነው ወረዱለት ፡ ፡ « አባቴም ሆይ ! ይህ ፊት ያየኋት ሕልሜ ፍች ነው ፡ ፡ ጌታ በእርግጥ እውነት አደረጋት ፡ ፡ ከወህኒ ቤትም ባወጣኝና ሰይጣንም በእኔና በወንድሞቼ መካከል ከአበላሸ በኋላ እናንተን ከገጠር ባመጣችሁ ጊዜ በእርግጥ ለኔ መልካም ዋለልኝ ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ለሚሻው ነገር እዝነቱ ረቂቅ ነው ፡ ፡ እነሆ እሱ ዐዋቂው ጥበበኛው ነው » አለ ፡ ፡

and he was certainly good to me when he took me out of prison and brought you [ here ] from bedouin life after satan had induced [ estrangement ] between me and my brothers . indeed , my lord is subtle in what he wills .

say [ to them ] , " if you possessed the depositories of the mercy of my lord , then you would withhold out of fear of spending . " and ever has man been stingy .
« እናንተ የጌታዬን የችሮታ መካዚኖች ብትይዙ ኖሮ ያን ጊዜ በማውጣታችሁ ማለቋን በመፍራት በጨበጣችሁ ነበር ፡ ፡ ሰውም በጣም ቆጣቢ ነው ፡ ፡ »

' see , father , ' he said , ' this is the interpretation of my vision of long ago ; my lord has made it true . he was good to me when he brought me forth from the prison , and again when he brought you out of the desert , after that satan set at variance me and my brethren .
