the amount of biomass was estimated by measuring the chitin content the aflatoxin concentration by means of uv light and a fluorodensitometer . it was established that the biosynthesis of the aflatoxins and their ratio primarily depend on the temperature of cultivation . the biomass of the mixed culture of a. parasiticus and t. roseum after 28 days of cultivation reduced the amount of aflatoxin b1 by 15-40 % and the amount of aflatoxin g1 by 25-60 % in respect to highest values obtained in the process of biosynthesis . the decrease of concentration of both toxins is more pronounced in the substrate at the higher initial water contents and at the higher temperatures of cultivation .
