and job, when he cried unto his lord, (saying): lo! adversity afflicteth me, and thou art most merciful of all who show mercy.
Ва Айюбро ёд кун, он гоҳ, ки Парвардигорашро нидо дод: «Ба ман беморӣ ва ранҷ расидааст ва Ту меҳрубонтарини меҳрубононӣ».

if good befalleth thee (o muhammad) it afflicteth them, and if calamity befalleth thee, they say: we took precaution, and they turn away well pleased.
Агар хайре ба ту расад, андӯҳгинашон созад ва агар ба ту мусибате расад, мегӯянд: «Мо чораи кори худ пеш аз ин андешидаем». Он гоҳ шодмон бозмегарданд.

that is because neither thirst nor toil nor hunger afflicteth them in the way of allah, nor step they any step that angereth the disbelievers, nor gain they from the enemy a gain, but a good deed is recorded for them therefor. lo!
Зеро дар роҳи Худо ҳеҷ ташнагӣ ба онҳо чира нашавад ё ба ранҷ наафтанд, ё ба гуруснагӣ дучор нагарданд ё қадаме, ки кофиронро хашмгин созад, барнадоранд, ё ба душман дастбурде назананд, магар он ки амали солеҳе барояшон навишта шавад, ки Худо подоши некӯкоронро нобуд намесозад!

beholdest thou not that allah driveth a cloud along, then combineth it, then maketh it a heap, and then thou beholdest the fine rain come forth from the interstices thereof? and he sendeth down from the heaven mountains wherein is hail, then afflicteth therewith whomsoever he will, and averteth it from whomsoever he will: wellnigh the flash of his lightening taketh away the sights.
Оё надидаӣ, ки Худо абрҳоеро ба оҳистагӣ меронад, он гоҳ, онҳоро ба ҳам мепайвандад ва абре бузург падид меоварад ва боронро бинӣ, ки дар он ҷост, тагарг (жола) мефиристад ва ҳар киро хоҳад, бо он мезанад ва аз ҳар кӣ мехоҳад, бозаш медорад. Рӯшноии барқаш наздик бошад, ки дидагонро кӯр созад.
