why did you disregard your appointment with me? was it because of the long time or did you want to become subject to the wrath of your lord?"
Оё дер кардани ман дароз кашид ё хостед, ки хашми Парвардигоратон ба шумо фуруд ояд, ки ваъдаи маро хилоф кардед?»

"but if you bring him not to me, there shall be no measure (of corn) for you with me, nor shall you come near me."
Агар ӯро назди ман наёваред, паймонае назди ман нахоҳед дошт ва ба ман наздик машавед».

he said, 'never will i send him with you until you bring me a solemn pledge by god that you will surely bring him back to me unless it be that you are encompassed.'
Гуфт: «Ҳаргиз ӯро бо шумо намефиристам, то бо ман ба номи Худо паймоне бибандед, ки назди манаш бозмеоваред. Магар он ки ҳама гирифтор шавед».

and on the day when he will assemble them and all what they worship instead of allah – then will say to those deities, “did you mislead my bondmen or did they themselves forget the path?”
Рӯзе, ки ононро бо чизҳое, ки ғайри Худои якто мепарастиданд, ба машҳар ҷамъ овард ва сипас пурсад: «Оё шумо ин бандагони Маро гумроҳ мекардед, ё онҳо худ роҳро гум карда буданд?»

or did you suppose that you would go to paradise untouched by that endured by those before you!
Мепиндоред, ки ба биҳишт хоҳед рафт? Ва ҳанӯз он чӣ бар сари пешиниёни шумо омада, бар сари шумо наёмада?

or did you suppose you should enter paradise without there had come upon you the like of those who passed away before you?
Мепиндоред, ки ба биҳишт хоҳед рафт? Ва ҳанӯз он чӣ бар сари пешиниёни шумо омада, бар сари шумо наёмада?

and on that day (your lord will gather these people together as well as their deities, whom they worship besides ailah. then he will ask them, "did you mislead these servants of mine, or did they themselves go astray?"
Рӯзе, ки ононро бо чизҳое, ки ғайри Худои якто мепарастиданд, ба машҳар ҷамъ овард ва сипас пурсад: «Оё шумо ин бандагони Маро гумроҳ мекардед, ё онҳо худ роҳро гум карда буданд?»

did the time of covenant seem too long to you? or did you wish the wrath of your lord to fall upon you that you broke the promise you had made to me?"
Оё дер кардани ман дароз кашид ё хостед, ки хашми Парвардигоратон ба шумо фуруд ояд, ки ваъдаи маро хилоф кардед?»

and [mention] the day he will gather them and that which they worship besides allah and will say, "did you mislead these, my servants, or did they [themselves] stray from the way?"
Рӯзе, ки ононро бо чизҳое, ки ғайри Худои якто мепарастиданд, ба машҳар ҷамъ овард ва сипас пурсад: «Оё шумо ин бандагони Маро гумроҳ мекардед, ё онҳо худ роҳро гум карда буданд?»

or did you suppose you would be left in peace, and god knows not as yet those of you who have struggled, and taken not -- apart from god and his messenger and the believers -- any intimate?
Оё пиндоштаед, ки шуморо ба ҳоли худ вомегузоранд, бе он ки Худо касоне аз шуморо, ки ҷиҳод мекунанд ва ҷуз Худову паёмбараш ва мӯъминонро ба ҳамрозӣ намегиранд, маълум дорад?

so musa returned to his people wrathful, sorrowing. said he: o my people! did not your lord promise you a goodly promise: did then the time seem long to you, or did you wish that displeasure from your lord should be due to you, so that you broke (your) promise to me?
Мӯсо хашмгин ва пурандӯҳ назди қавмаш бозгашту гуфт: «Эй қавми ман, оё Парвардигоратон шуморо ваъдаҳои некӯ надода буд? Оё дер кардани ман дароз кашид ё хостед, ки хашми Парвардигоратон ба шумо фуруд ояд, ки ваъдаи маро хилоф кардед?»
