and if a slander from the devil wound thee , then seek refuge in allah . lo !
ከሰይጣንም ( በኩል ) ጉትጎታ ቢያገኝህ በአላህ ተጠበቅ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ሰሚው ዐዋቂው ነውና ፡ ፡

and those who unnecessarily harass muslim men and women , have burdened themselves with slander and open sin .
እነዚያንም ምእምናንንና ምእምናነትን ባልሰሩት ነገር ( በመዝለፍ ) የሚያሰቃዩ ዕብለትንና ግልጽ ኃጢአትን በእርግጥ ተሸከሙ ፡ ፡

those who offend faithful men and women undeservedly , certainly bear the guilt of slander and flagrant sin .
እነዚያንም ምእምናንንና ምእምናነትን ባልሰሩት ነገር ( በመዝለፍ ) የሚያሰቃዩ ዕብለትንና ግልጽ ኃጢአትን በእርግጥ ተሸከሙ ፡ ፡

and [ we cursed them ] for their disbelief and their saying against mary a great slander ,
በመካዳቸውም በመርየም ላይ ከባድ ቅጥፈትን በመናገራቸውም ምክንያት ( ረገምናቸው ) ፡ ፡

one who makes a mistake or commits a sin and ascribes it to an innocent person , he only burdens himself with slander and a grave sin .
ኀጢአትን ወይም አበሳን የሚሠራም ሰው ከዚያም በእርሱ ንጹሕን ሰው የሚሰድብ ቅጥፈትንና ግልጽ አበሳን በቁርጥ ተሸከመ ፡ ፡

those who slander honorable , innocent , believing women are cursed in this life and in the hereafter . they will have a terrible punishment .
እነዚያ ጥብቆቹን ከዝሙት ዘንጊዎቹን ምእምናት የሚሰድቡ ፤ በቅርቢቱም በመጨረሻይቱም ዓለም ተረገሙ ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ታላቅ ቅጣት አላቸው ፡ ፡

and whoever commits a mistake , or a sin , and then blames it on an innocent person , has taken a slander and a clear sin .
ኀጢአትን ወይም አበሳን የሚሠራም ሰው ከዚያም በእርሱ ንጹሕን ሰው የሚሰድብ ቅጥፈትንና ግልጽ አበሳን በቁርጥ ተሸከመ ፡ ፡

but whoever earns an offense or a sin and then blames it on an innocent [ person ] has taken upon himself a slander and manifest sin .
ኀጢአትን ወይም አበሳን የሚሠራም ሰው ከዚያም በእርሱ ንጹሕን ሰው የሚሰድብ ቅጥፈትንና ግልጽ አበሳን በቁርጥ ተሸከመ ፡ ፡

and if ye intend to replace a wife by anot her , and ye have given the one of them a talent , take not back aught therefrom . would ye take it back by slander and manifest sin .
በሚስትም ስፍራ ሚስትን ለመለወጥ ብትፈልጉ ለአንደኛይቱ ( ለምትፈታው ) ብዙን ገንዘብ የሰጣችኋት ስትኾኑ ከርሱ ምንንም አትውሰዱ ፡ ፡ በመበደልና ግልጽ በኾነ ኀጢአት ትወስዱታላችሁን

and if you wish to change one wife for another and you have given her heaps of treasure , do not take back anything from it ; will you take it back by slander and open sin ?
በሚስትም ስፍራ ሚስትን ለመለወጥ ብትፈልጉ ለአንደኛይቱ ( ለምትፈታው ) ብዙን ገንዘብ የሰጣችኋት ስትኾኑ ከርሱ ምንንም አትውሰዱ ፡ ፡ በመበደልና ግልጽ በኾነ ኀጢአት ትወስዱታላችሁን

indeed those who wish that slander should spread among the muslims – for them is a painful punishment in this world and in the hereafter ; and allah knows , and you do not know .
እነዚያ በእነዚያ ባመኑት ሰዎች ውስጥ መጥፎ ወሬ እንድትስፋፋ የሚወዱ ለእነሱ በቅርቢቱም በመጨረሻይቱም ዓለም አሳማሚ ቅጣት አላቸው ፡ ፡ አላህም ያውቃል እናንተ ግን አታውቁም ፡ ፡

and wherefore , when ye heard it , did ye not say : it is not for us to speak thereof , hallowed be thou ! that is a slander mighty !
በሰማችሁትም ጊዜ በዚህ ልንናገር ለእኛ አይገባንም ፡ ፡ ጥራት ይገባህ ፡ ፡ ይህ ከባድ ቅጥፈት ነው ፤ አትሉም ነበርን
