እውነተኞችም እንደ ኾናችሁ አባቶቻችንን አምጡልን ፡ ፡

they said , “ but we found our ancestors doing so . ”
« የለም ! አባቶቻችን እንደዚሁ ሲሠሩ አገኘን » አሉት ፡ ፡

allah is your lord and the lord of your ancestors of yore . ”
አላህን ጌታችሁንና የቀድሞዎቹ አባቶቻችሁን ጌታ ( ትተዋላችሁን ) ?

he said , “ your lord and the lord of your ancestors of old . ”
( ሙሳ ) « ጌታችሁና የመጀመሪያዎቹ አባቶቻችሁም ጌታ ነው » አለው ፡ ፡

indeed , when the water overflowed , we carried your ancestors in the sailing ship
እኛ ውሃው ባየለ ጊዜ በተንሻላይቱ ታንኳ ውስጥ ጫንናችሁ ፡ ፡

so that you may warn a people whose ancestors were not warned before wherefore they are heedless .
አባቶቻቸው ያልተስፈራሩትን ሕዝቦች ልታስጠነቅቅበት ( ተወረደ ) ፡ ፡ እነርሱ ዘንጊዎች ናቸውና ፡ ፡

they worship only as their ancestors worshiped before . we will pay them their due in full , without any reduction .
እነዚህ ( ከሓዲዎች ) ከሚገዙት ጣዖት በመጠራጠር ውስጥ አትሁን ፤ አባቶቻቸው ከዚህ በፊት እንደሚግገዙት እንጂ አይግገዙም ፡ ፡ እኛም ( እነዚህን ) ፈንታቸውን የማይጓደል ሲሆን የምንሞላላቸው ነን ፡ ፡

ከእርሱ ሌላ አምላክ የለም ፡ ፡ ሕያው ያደርጋል ፡ ፡ ይገድላልም ፡ ፡ ጌታችሁ የመጀመሪያዎቹ አባቶቻችሁም ጌታ ነው ፡ ፡

and some of their ancestors and their descendants and their brothers ; and we chose them and guided them to the straight path .
ከአባቶቻቸውም ፣ ከዘሮቻቸውም ፣ ከወንድሞቻቸውም ( መራን ) ፡ ፡ መረጥናቸውም ፤ ወደ ቀጥታውም መንገድ መራናቸው ፡ ፡

a thing about which they have no knowledge , neither they nor their ancestors . dreadful is the word that comes out of their mouths .
ለእነሱም ለአባቶቻቸውም በርሱ ምንም እውቀት የላቸውም ፡ ፡ ከአፎቻቸው የምትወጣውን ቃል ምን አከበዳት ! ውሸትን እንጂ አይናገሩም ፡ ፡

ከእርሱ ሌላ አምላክ የለም ፡ ፡ ሕያው ያደርጋል ፡ ፡ ይገድላልም ፡ ፡ ጌታችሁ የመጀመሪያዎቹ አባቶቻችሁም ጌታ ነው ፡ ፡

when our clarifying verses are recited to them , their only argument is to say , “ bring back our ancestors , if you are truthful . ”
አንቀጾቻችንም ግልጾች ኾነው በእነርሱ ላይ በተነበቡላቸው ጊዜ ክርክራቸው « እውነተኞች እንደ ኾናችሁ አባቶቻችንን አምጡ » ማለት እንጅ ሌላ አልነበረም ፡ ፡

it was not for us to take any lords besides you . but you gave them enjoyments , and their ancestors , until they forgot the message , and became ruined people . ”
« ጥራት ይገባህ ፤ ካንተ ሌላ ረዳቶችን ልንይዝ ለእኛ ተገቢያችን አልነበረም ፡ ፡ ግን እነርሱንም አባቶቻቸውንም መገንዘብን እስከተዉ ድረስ አጣቀምካቸው ፡ ፡ ጠፊ ሕዝቦችም ኾኑ » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

he replied : " you have already been beset with punishment and the wrath of god . why dispute with me about names invented by you and your ancestors for which no sanction was sent down ?
« ከጌታችሁ የኾነ ቅጣትና ቁጣ በእናንተ ላይ በእውነት ተረጋገጠ ፡ ፡ እናንተና አባቶቻችሁም ( አማልክት ብላችሁ ) በጠራችኋቸው ስሞች አላህ በእርሷ ምንም ማስረጃ ያላወረደባት ስትኾን ትከራከሩኛላችሁን ተጠባባቁም እኔ ከእናንተ ጋር ከተጠባባቂዎቹ ነኝና » አለ ፡ ፡
