valstödsprojekt som fått bidrag från eu under perioden juli 2003 och juni 2004 inbegrep bl.a. i) ettbidrag på 7 000 000 euro till en undp-fond till stöd för valmyndigheterna i indonesien i syfte attutveckla hållbar kapacitet inför parlaments- och presidentvalen 2004 och därefter, ii) sammanlagt15 000 000 euro för röstregistrering och 9 000 000 euro för organisationen av valen i afghanistan,iii) stöd som sammanlagt uppgick till ca 2 000 000 euro till sierra leones nationellavalkommission för att täcka logistikarrangemang och införskaffandet av material inför valen tillkommunala organ i maj 2004, iv) allmänt budgetstöd på ca 16 000 000 euro till anordnandet av dekommunala valen i moçambique 2003 samt parlaments- och presidentvalen 2004, och v) ett bidragpå 1 800 000 euro till en undp-administrerad kollektiv fond (basket fund) för att stödjaanordnandet av val i rwanda och inhemska observatörers övervakning av dessa val.
