nay ; the truth is that you love ardently ( the good of this world ) that can be obtained hastily ,
( ከመጣደፍ ) ተከልከል ፡ ፡ ይልቁንም ( ሰዎች ) ፈጣኒቱን ( ዓለም ) ትወዳላችሁ ፡ ፡

if they find you , they will be your enemies , and will stretch forth towards you their hands and their tongues with evil , and they ardently desire that you may disbelieve .
ቢያሸንፏችሁ ለእናንተ ጠላቶች ይኾናሉ ፡ ፡ እጆቻቸውንና ምላሶቻቸውንም ወደእናንተ በክፉ ይዘረጋሉ ፡ ፡ ብትክዱም ተመኙ ፡ ፡

now hath come unto you a messenger from amongst yourselves : it grieves him that ye should perish : ardently anxious is he over you : to the believers is he most kind and merciful .
ከጎሳችሁ የሆነ ችግራችሁ በእርሱ ላይ ጽኑ የሆነ ፣ በእናንተ ( እምነት ) ላይ የሚጓጓ ፣ በምእምናን ( ላይ ) ርኅሩኅ አዛኝ የኾነ መልክተኛ በእርግጥ መጣላችሁ ፡ ፡

the disbelievers will ardently wish that if only they had been muslims ! ( at the time of death / in their graves / on the day of resurrection . )
እነዚያ የካዱት ( በትንሣኤ ቀን ) ሙስሊሞች በኾኑ ኖሩ በብዛት ይመኛሉ ፡ ፡

( in spite of such clear signs of the oneness of allah ) , there are people who set up equals and rivals with allah and adore them with the adoration due to allah. whereas the believers adore allah most ardently . would that these transgressors could realize now what they will realize , when they will see the chastisement before them that power and authority wholly belong to allah and that allah is severe in punishment !
ከሰዎችም ከአላህ ሌላ ባለንጣዎችን ( ጣዖታትን ) አላህን እንደሚወዱ የሚወዷቸው ኾነው የሚይዙ አልሉ ፡ ፡ እነዚያ ያመኑትም አላህን በመውደድ ( ከነርሱ ) ይበልጥ የበረቱ ናቸው ፡ ፡ እነዚያም የበደሉት ሰዎች ቅጣትን ( በትንሣኤ ቀን ) ባዩ ጊዜ ኀይል ሁሉ ለአላህ ብቻ መኾኑንና አላህም ቅጣቱ ብርቱ መኾኑን ( በአዱኛ ዓለም ) ቢያውቁ ኖሮ ( ባላንጣዎችን በመያዛቸው በተጸጸቱ ነበር ) ፡ ፡
