we did not send down the book to you except [ for the purpose ] that you may clarify for them what they differ about , and as a guidance and mercy for a people who have faith .
ባንተም ላይ መጽሐፉን አላወረድንም ፤ ያንን በርሱ የተለያዩበትን ለነርሱ ልታብራራላቸውና ለሚያምኑትም ሕዝቦች መሪና እዝነት ሊኾን እንጂ ፡ ፡

( their doom is ) because allah sent down the book in truth but those who seek causes of dispute in the book are in a schism far ( from the purpose ) .
ይህ ( ቅጣት ) አላህ መጽሐፍን በእውነት ያወረደ በመኾኑ ምክንያት ( እና በርሱ በመካዳቸው ) ነው ፡ ፡ እነዚያም በመጽሐፉ የተለያዩት ( ከእውነት ) በራቀ ጭቅጭቅ ውስጥ ናቸው ፡ ፡

allah will not leave the believers in the state in which ye are now , until he separates what is evil from what is good nor will he disclose to you the secrets of the unseen . but he chooses of his messengers ( for the purpose ) whom he pleases .
አላህ መጥፎውን ከመልካሙ እስከሚለይ ድረስ ምእምናንን እናንተ በርሱ ላይ ባላችሁበት ( ኹኔታ ) ላይ የሚተው አይደለም ፡ ፡ አላህም ሩቁን ነገር የሚያሳውቃችሁ አይደለም ፡ ፡ ግን አላህ ከመልክተኞቹ የሚሻውን ይመርጣል ፡ ፡ በአላህና በመልክተኞቹም እመኑ ፡ ፡ ብታምኑና ብትጠነቀቁም ለናንተ ታላቅ ምንዳ አላችሁ ፡ ፡

a similitude is coined , so pay ye heed to it : lo ! those on whom ye call beside allah will never create a fly though they combine together for the purpose . and if the fly took something from them , they could not rescue it from it .
እናንተ ሰዎች ሆይ ! አስደናቂ ምሳሌ ተገለጸላችሁ ፡ ፡ ለእርሱም አድምጡት ፡ ፡ እነዚያ ከአላህ ሌላ የምትግገዟቸው ( ጣዖታት ) ዝንብን ፈጽሞ አይፈጥሩም ፡ ፡ እርሱን ( ለመፍጠር ) ቢሰበሰቡም እንኳን ( አይችሉም ) ፡ ፡ አንዳችንም ነገር ዝንቡ ቢነጥቃቸው ከእርሱ አያስጥሉትም ፡ ፡ ፈላጊውም ተፈላጊውም ደከሙ ፡ ፡

and o dear prophet ( mohammed peace and – blessings be upon him ) we have sent down the true book upon you , confirming the books preceding it , and a protector and witness over them – therefore judge between them according to what is sent down by allah , and o listener , do not follow their desires , abandoning the truth which has come to you ; we have appointed for you all , a separate ( religious ) law and a way ; and had allah willed he could have made you one nation , but the purpose ( his will ) is to test you by what he has given you , therefore seek to surpass one another in good deeds ; towards allah only you will all return , so he will inform you concerning the matter in which you disputed .
ወደ አንተም መጽሐፉን ከበፊቱ ያለውን መጽሐፍ አረጋጋጭና በእርሱ ላይ ተጠባባቂ ሲኾን በእውነት አወረድን ፡ ፡ በመካከላቸውም አላህ ባወረደው ሕግ ፍረድ ፡ ፡ እውነቱም ከመጣልህ በኋላ ዝንባሌዎቻቸውን አትከተል ፡ ፡ ከእናንተ ለሁሉም ሕግንና መንገድን አደረግን ፡ ፡ አላህም በሻ ኖሮ አንድ ሕዝብ ባደረጋችሁ ነበር ፡ ፡ ግን በሰጣችሁ ሕግጋት ሊሞክራችሁ ( ለያያችሁ ) ፡ ፡ በጎ ሥራዎችንም ( ለመሥራት ) ተሽቀዳደሙ ፤ መመለሻችሁ በጠቅላላ ወደ አላህ ነው ፡ ፡ በእርሱም ትለያዩበት የነበራችሁትን ነገር ይነግራችኋል ፡ ፡
