இத்தகையோருக்கு ஓர் உதாரணம்; நெருப்பை மூட்டிய ஒருவனின் உதாரணத்தைப் போன்றது. அ(ந் நெருப்பான)து அவனைச் சுற்றிலும் ஒளி வீசியபோது, அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுடைய ஒளியைப் பறித்துவிட்டான்; இன்னும் பார்க்க முடியாத காரிருளில் அவர்களை விட்டு விட்டான்.

and when ye said: o moses! we will not believe in thee till we see allah plainly; and even while ye gazed the lightning seized you.
