l'invention a pour objet un rouleau déflecteur pour un produit en bande défilant dans un liquide de traitement (10), en passant sur au moins un rouleau déflecteur (2) immergé, monté rotatif sur deux tourillons (4, 4') associés chacun à un palier (3, 3'). conformément à l'invention, chacun des deux paliers (3, 3') est entièrement constitué d'éléments réalisés en une matière céramique et est logé à l'intérieur d'un boitard annulaire (5) dans lequel peut pénétrer le liquide de traitement, ledit boitard (5) étant associé à des moyens (8, 63) de maintien du palier (4) susceptibles de compenser les dilatations différentielles des éléments du palier par rapport au tourillon (4) et au boitard (5) pour réaliser, à la température de fonctionnement, un serrage du palier (3), sans risque de rupture des éléments en céramique.
