ዋትሳፕ አለህ

nor is it the speech of a soothsayer — little do you take heed .
የጠንቋይም ቃል አይደለም ፡ ፡ ጥቂትን ብቻ ታስታውሳላችሁ ፡ ፡

do you not understand ?
አትገነዘቡምን ?

do you , then , take this discourse in light esteem ,
በዚህ ንግግር እናንተ ቸልተኞች ናችሁን ?

and do you take to you castles , haply to dwell forever ?
« የውሃ ማጠራቀሚያዎችንና ሕንፃዎችንም ዘላለም መኖርን የምትከጅሉ ኾናችሁ ትሠራላችሁን

and do you take to yourselves underground reservoirs , in order to live for ever !
« የውሃ ማጠራቀሚያዎችንና ሕንፃዎችንም ዘላለም መኖርን የምትከጅሉ ኾናችሁ ትሠራላችሁን

certainly you have known the first genesis , then why do you not take admonition ?
የፊተኛይቱንም አፈጣጠር በእርግጥ ዐውቃችኋል ፡ ፡ አትገነዘቡምን ?

you have certainly known the first creation . why , then , do you not take heed ?
የፊተኛይቱንም አፈጣጠር በእርግጥ ዐውቃችኋል ፡ ፡ አትገነዘቡምን ?

you certainly knew about ( your ) first development . why do you not take heed ?
የፊተኛይቱንም አፈጣጠር በእርግጥ ዐውቃችኋል ፡ ፡ አትገነዘቡምን ?

and when a suggestion from satan assails you , take refuge with god . he is hearing and knowing .
ከሰይጣንም ( በኩል ) ጉትጎታ ቢያገኝህ በአላህ ተጠበቅ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ሰሚው ዐዋቂው ነውና ፡ ፡

follow what has been sent down to you by your lord and do not follow any protector other than him . how seldom you take heed .
ከጌታችሁ ወደእናንተ የተወረደውን ተከተሉ ፡ ፡ ከአላህም ሌላ ረዳቶችን አትከተሉ ፡ ፡ ጥቂትን ብቻ ትገሰጻላችሁ ፡ ፡

follow what has been sent down to you from your lord , and do not follow any masters besides him . little is the admonition that you take !
ከጌታችሁ ወደእናንተ የተወረደውን ተከተሉ ፡ ፡ ከአላህም ሌላ ረዳቶችን አትከተሉ ፡ ፡ ጥቂትን ብቻ ትገሰጻላችሁ ፡ ፡

and when ibrahim said to his sire , azar : do you take idols for gods ? surely i see you and your people in manifest error .
ኢብራሒምም ለአባቱ ለአዘር « ጣዖታትን አማልክት አድርገህ ትይዛለህን እኔ ፤ አንተንም ሕዝቦችህንም በግልጽ መሳሳት ውስጥ ኾናችሁ አያችኋለሁ » ባለ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ )

and how can you take it when one of you has already gone in to the other and they have made with you a firm covenant ?
ከፊላችሁ ወደ ከፊሉ በእርግጥ የደረሰ ሲኾንና ከእናንተ ላይም ( ሴቶች ) የጠበቀ ኪዳንን የያዙባችሁ ሲኾኑ እንዴት ትወስዱታላችሁ !

abraham said to his father azar , “ do you take idols for gods ? i see that you and your people are in evident error . ”
ኢብራሒምም ለአባቱ ለአዘር « ጣዖታትን አማልክት አድርገህ ትይዛለህን እኔ ፤ አንተንም ሕዝቦችህንም በግልጽ መሳሳት ውስጥ ኾናችሁ አያችኋለሁ » ባለ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ )

and from the fruits of the palm trees and grapevines you take intoxicant and good provision . indeed in that is a sign for a people who reason .
ከዘምባባዎችና ከወይኖችም ፍሬዎች ( እንመግባችኋለን ) ፡ ፡ ከእርሱ ጠጅንና መልካም ምግብንም ትሠራላችሁ ፡ ፡ በዚህም ውስጥ ለሚያስቡ ሕዝቦች በእርግጥ ተዓምር አልለ ፡ ፡

allah brought down from their fortresses those people of the book who had supported the invading confederates and cast such terror into their hearts that some of them you kill and some of them you take captive .
እነዚያንም ከመጽሐፉ ባለቤቶች ( አሕዛቦችን ) የረዷቸውን ( ቁረይዟን ) ከምሽጎቻቸው አወረዳቸው ፡ ፡ በልቦቻቸውም ውስጥ መባባትን ጣለባቸው ፡ ፡ ከፊሉን ትገድላላችሁ ፡ ፡ ከፊሉንም ትማርካላችሁ ፡ ፡

and if you desire to exchange a wife in place of another , and you have given to one a hundredweight , take of it nothing . what , will you take it by way of calumny and manifest sin ?
በሚስትም ስፍራ ሚስትን ለመለወጥ ብትፈልጉ ለአንደኛይቱ ( ለምትፈታው ) ብዙን ገንዘብ የሰጣችኋት ስትኾኑ ከርሱ ምንንም አትውሰዱ ፡ ፡ በመበደልና ግልጽ በኾነ ኀጢአት ትወስዱታላችሁን
