ከእርሱ ገንዘቡና ያም ያፈራው ሁሉ ምንም አልጠቀመውም ፡ ፡

his wealth will not suffice him , neither what he has gained ;
ከእርሱ ገንዘቡና ያም ያፈራው ሁሉ ምንም አልጠቀመውም ፡ ፡

and likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
እንዲሁም ሁለት የተቀበለው ሌላ ሁለት አተረፈ።

they should laugh less and weep more as a recompense for what they have gained .
ጥቂትንም ይሳቁ ፡ ፡ ይሠሩት በነበሩት ዋጋ ብዙን ያለቅሳሉ ፡ ፡

out of what they had gained , nothing proved to be of any benefit to them .
ይሠሩትም የነበሩት ሕንጻ ምንም አልጠቀማቸውም ፡ ፡

those who preceded them said the same thing but they gained nothing from what they did ;
እነዚያ ከእነርሱ በፊት የነበሩት ሕዝቦች በእርግጥ ብለዋታል ፡ ፡ ይሠሩት የነበሩትም ነገር ከእነርሱ አልጠቀማቸውም ፡ ፡

has he gained knowledge of the unseen , or made a covenant with the beneficent allah ?
ሩቁን ምስጢር ዐወቀን ወይስ አልረሕማን ዘንድ ቃል ኪዳንን ያዘ

satan has gained mastery over them and has made them neglect remembering allah . they are the party of satan .
በእነርሱ ላይ ሰይጣን ተሾመባቸው ፡ ፡ አላህንም ማስታወስን አስረሳቸው ፡ ፡ እነዚያ የሰይጣን ጭፍሮች ናቸው ፡ ፡ ንቁ ! የሰይጣን ጭፍሮች ከሳሪዎቹ እነርሱ ናቸው ፡ ፡

god repelled the disbelievers in their rage ; they gained no advantage . god thus spared the believers combat .
እነዚያንም የካዱትን በቁጭታቸው የተመሉ መልካምን ነገር ያላገኙ ሆነው አላህ መለሳቸው ፡ ፡ አማኞቹንም አላህ መጋደልን በቃቸው ፡ ፡ አላህም ብርቱ አሸናፊ ነው ፡ ፡

they are indeed those who bartered away good guidance for error and gained nothing from the deal , nor found the right way .
እነዚህ እነዚያ ስህተትን በቅንነት የገዙ ናቸው ፡ ፡ ንግዳቸውም አላተረፈችም ፤ ቀጥተኞችም አልኾኑም ፡ ፡

and allah repulsed the disbelievers in their wrath ; they gained no good . allah averted their attack from the believers .
እነዚያንም የካዱትን በቁጭታቸው የተመሉ መልካምን ነገር ያላገኙ ሆነው አላህ መለሳቸው ፡ ፡ አማኞቹንም አላህ መጋደልን በቃቸው ፡ ፡ አላህም ብርቱ አሸናፊ ነው ፡ ፡

so do not lose heart or appeal for peace when you have gained the upper hand . god is with you and will never let your works go to waste .
እናንተም አሸናፊዎቹ ስትኾኑ አላህ ከእናንተ ጋር ሲሆን አትድከሙ ፡ ፡ ወደ ዕርቅም አትጥሩ ፡ ፡ ሥራዎቻችሁንም ፈጽሞ አያጎድልባችሁም ፡ ፡

he will adjust your works for you and will forgive you your sins . whosoever obeyeth allah and his messenger , he verily hath gained a signal victory .
ሥራዎቻችሁን ለእናንተ ያበጅላችኋልና ፡ ፡ ኀጢአቶቻችሁንም ለእናንተ ይምርላችኋል ፡ ፡ አላህንና መልክተኛውን የሚታዘዝም ሰው በእርግጥ ታላቅን እድል አገኘ ፡ ፡

allah sent back the unbelievers in their rage , and they gained no good . allah spared the believers from fighting , surely allah is the strong , the mighty .
እነዚያንም የካዱትን በቁጭታቸው የተመሉ መልካምን ነገር ያላገኙ ሆነው አላህ መለሳቸው ፡ ፡ አማኞቹንም አላህ መጋደልን በቃቸው ፡ ፡ አላህም ብርቱ አሸናፊ ነው ፡ ፡

god has never begotten a son , nor is there any god besides him . otherwise , each god would have taken away what it has created , and some of them would have gained supremacy over others .
አላህ ምንም ልጅን አልያዘም ( አልወለደም ) ፡ ፡ ከእርሱም ጋር አንድም አምላክ የለም ፡ ፡ ያን ጊዜ ( ሌላ አምላክ በነበረ ) አምላክ ሁሉ በፈጠረው ነገር በተለየ ነበር ፡ ፡ ከፊላቸውም በከፊሉ ለይ በላቀ ነበር ፡ ፡ አላህ ከሚመጥኑት ሁሉ ጠራ ፡ ፡

it is he who makes you to die by night , knowing what you have gained by day , and then resurrects you so that an ordained term is realized . to him you shall return , and he will tell you of what you have been doing .
እርሱም ያ በሌሊት የሚያስተኛችሁ በቀንም የሠራችሁትን ሁሉ የሚያውቅ ከዚያም የተወሰነው ጊዜ ይፈፀም ዘንድ በእርሱ ( በቀን ) ውስጥ የሚቀሰቅሳችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ ከዚያም መመለሻችሁ ወደ እርሱ ነው ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትን ሁሉ ይነግራችኋል ፡ ፡

( can anyone be considered equal to ) the one who is the guardian of every soul and the watcher of what it has gained ? yet , the unbelievers have considered their idols equal to god .
እርሱ በነፍስ ሁሉ ላይ በሠራቸው ሥራ ተጠባባቂ የኾነው ( አላህ እንደዚህ እንዳልኾነው ጣዖት ብጤ ነውን ) ለአላህም ተጋሪዎችን አደረጉ ፡ ፡ ጥሯቸው « አላህን በምድር ውስጥ የማያውቀው ኖሮ ትነግሩታላችሁን ወይስ ከቃል በግልጽ ( ፍቺ በሌለው ከንቱ ቃል ተጋሪዎች በማለት ትጠሩዋቸዋላችሁን ) » በላቸው ፡ ፡ በእውነቱ ለእነዚያ ለካዱት ተንኮላቸው ተሸለመላቸው ፡ ፡ ከእውነቱ መንገድም ታገዱ ፡ ፡ አላህም ያጠመመው ሰው ለእርሱ ምንም አቅኚ የለውም ፡ ፡

( muhammad ) , say , " i have no control over my benefits or sufferings , without the will of god . had i known about the unseen , i would have gained much good and would have faced no suffering .
« አላህ የሻውን በስተቀር ለእራሴ ጥቅምንም ጉዳትንም ማምጣት አልችልም ፡ ፡ ሩቅንም ( ምስጢር ) የማውቅ በነበርኩ ኖሮ ከመልካም ነገር ባበዛሁና ክፉም ነገር ባልነካኝ ነበር ፡ ፡ እኔ ለሚያምኑ ሕዝቦች አስፈራሪና አብሳሪ እንጂ ሌላ አይደለሁም » በላቸው ፡ ፡
