i have been doing
እኔ ነኝ

i have been sent as a trusted messenger to you .
« እኔ ለናንተ ታማኝ መልክተኛ ነኝ ፡ ፡

say , ‘ i have been commanded to worship allah with exclusive faith in him ,
በል « እኔ አላህን ሃይማኖትን ለርሱ ያጠራሁ ኾኜ እንድግገዛው ታዘዝኩ ፡ ፡

i have been commanded to be the first to submit . "
« የሙስሊሞችም መጀመሪያ እንድኾን ታዘዝኩ ፡ ፡ »

do not choose other gods besides him . i have been sent from him to plainly warn you " .
ከአላህም ጋር ሌላን አምላክ አታድርጉ ፡ ፡ እኔ ለእናንተ ከእርሱ ( የተላክሁ ) ግልጽ አስፈራሪ ነኝና ፡ ፡

and i have been commanded to be the foremost of those who submit [ to him ] . ’
« የሙስሊሞችም መጀመሪያ እንድኾን ታዘዝኩ ፡ ፡ »

he said : i have no knowledge of that which they have been working .
( እርሱም ) አላቸው « ይሠሩት በነበሩት ነገር ምን ዕውቀት አለኝ ፡ ፡

and i have been commanded to be the first of those that surrender . '
« የሙስሊሞችም መጀመሪያ እንድኾን ታዘዝኩ ፡ ፡ »

( muhammad ) , tell them , " seek refuge in god . i have been sent from him to plainly warn you .
« ወደ አላህም ሽሹ ፤ እኔ ለእናንተ ከርሱ ግልጽ አስጠንቃቂ ነኝና » ( በላቸው ) ፡ ፡

noah said , " my lord , i have been preaching to my people , night and day ,
( ስለ ተቃወሙትም ) « አለ ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እኔ ሌሊትም ቀንም ሕዝቦቼን ጠራሁ ፡ ፡

say : ' i have been commanded to serve god making my religion his sincerely ;
በል « እኔ አላህን ሃይማኖትን ለርሱ ያጠራሁ ኾኜ እንድግገዛው ታዘዝኩ ፡ ፡

and i have been commanded to be the first [ among you ] of the muslims . "
« የሙስሊሞችም መጀመሪያ እንድኾን ታዘዝኩ ፡ ፡ »

he will say : o my lord ! why hast thou gathered me sightless whereas surely i have been a seer .
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ለምን ዕውር አድርገህ አስነሳኸኝ በእርግጥ የማይ የነበርኩ ስኾን » ይላል ፡ ፡

say ( prophet muhammad ) : ' o people , i have been sent to warn you plainly .
« እናንተ ሰዎች ሆይ ! እኔ ለእናንተ ግልጽ አስጠንቃቂ ብቻ ነኝ » በላቸው ፡ ፡

" he has no partner . and of this i have been commanded , and i am the first of the muslims . "
« ለእርሱ ተጋሪ የለውም ፡ ፡ በዚህም ( በማጥራት ) ታዘዝኩ ፡ ፡ እኔም የሙስሊሞች መጀመሪያ ነኝ » ( በል ) ፡ ፡

father , i have been given some knowledge which has not come to you , so follow me : i shall guide you along a straight path .
« አባቴ ሆይ ! እኔ ከዕውቀት ያልመጣልህ ነገር በእርግጥ መጥቶልኛልና ተከተለኝ ፡ ፡ ቀጥተኛውን መንገድ እመራሃለሁና ፡ ፡

but he was not long in coming , and reported : " i have been around where you have not been . i come from saba with positive news .
( ወፉ ) ዕሩቅ ያልኾነንም ጊዜ ቆዬ ፡ ፡ አለም « ያላወቅከውን ነገር አወቅኩ ፡ ፡ ከሰበእም እርግጠኛን ወሬ አመጣሁልህ ፡ ፡

he said : i have been given it only on account of knowledge i possess . knew he not that allah had destroyed already of the generations before him men who were mightier than him in strength and greater in respect of following ?
( ሀብቱን ) « የተሰጠሁት እኔ ዘንድ ባለው እውቀት ብቻ ነው አለ ፡ ፡ አላህ ከእርሱ በፊት ከክፍለ ዘመናት ሰዎች በኀይል ከእርሱ ይበልጥ የበረቱትን ( ሀብትን ) በመሰብሰብም ይበልጥ የበዙትን በእርግጥ ያጠፋ መኾኑን አያውቅምን አመጸኞችም ከኀጢኣቶቻቸው ( ምሕረት የሚከተለውን ጥያቄ ) አይጠየቁም ፡ ፡

but he said , " i have been given it only because of the knowledge i possess . " did he not know that god had destroyed before him people who were stronger than he and possessed even greater resources ?
( ሀብቱን ) « የተሰጠሁት እኔ ዘንድ ባለው እውቀት ብቻ ነው አለ ፡ ፡ አላህ ከእርሱ በፊት ከክፍለ ዘመናት ሰዎች በኀይል ከእርሱ ይበልጥ የበረቱትን ( ሀብትን ) በመሰብሰብም ይበልጥ የበዙትን በእርግጥ ያጠፋ መኾኑን አያውቅምን አመጸኞችም ከኀጢኣቶቻቸው ( ምሕረት የሚከተለውን ጥያቄ ) አይጠየቁም ፡ ፡

" i have not gone astray , o my people , " he said , " but have been sent by my lord , the creator of all the worlds .
አላቸው « ወገኖቼ ሆይ ! ምንም መሳሳት የለብኝም ፡ ፡ ግን እኔ ከዓለማት ጌታ መልእክተኛ ነኝ ፡ ፡ »
