we give thanks to god always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;
በጸሎታችን ጊዜ ስለ እናንተ ስናሳስብ፥ የእምነታችሁን ስራ የፍቅራችሁንም ድካም በጌታችንም በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ያለውን የተስፋችሁን መጽናት በአምላካችንና በአባታችን ፊት ሳናቋርጥ እያሰብን፥ እግዚአብሔርን ሁል ጊዜ በሁላችሁ ምክንያት እናመሰግናለን፤

we give thanks to god and the father of our lord jesus christ, praying always for you,
ስለ እናንተ ስንጸልይ፥ በሰማይ ከተዘጋጀላችሁ ተስፋ የተነሣ በክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ ስለ እምነታችሁ ለቅዱሳንም ሁሉ ስላላችሁ ፍቅር ሰምተን፥ የጌታችንን የኢየሱስ ክርስቶስን አባት እግዚአብሔርን ሁልጊዜ እናመሰግናለን፤ ስለዚህም ተስፋ በወንጌል እውነት ቃል አስቀድማችሁ ሰማችሁ።

and surely to our lord we must return .
እኛም በእርግጥ ወደ ጌታችን ተመላሾች ፤ ነን » ( እንድትሉ ) ፡ ፡

and they cried loud lies to our signs ;
በአንቀጾቻችንም ማስተባበልን አስተባበሉና ፡ ፡

indeed we shall return to our lord . ’
እኛም በእርግጥ ወደ ጌታችን ተመላሾች ፤ ነን » ( እንድትሉ ) ፡ ፡

( muhammad ) , you are not insane , thanks to the bounty of your lord .
አንተ በጌታህ ጸጋ የተጎናጸፍክ ስትኾን ዕብድ አይደለህም ፡ ፡

therefore remember me , i will remember you . give thanks to me , and reject not me .
አስታውሱኝም ፤ አስታውሳችኋለሁና ለኔም አመስግኑ ፤ አትካዱኝም ፡ ፡

የዞን ዘጠኝ ጦማሪዎች እና ጋዜጠኞች መታሰር አለም አቀፉን የሲቪል እና የፓለቲካ መብቶች ስምምነት መጣስ ነው::

already our word has preceded to our servants , the envoys ;
( የእርዳታ ) ቃላችንም መልክተኞች ለሆኑት ባሮቻችን በእውነት አልፋለች ፡ ፡

" and to our lord , surely , must we turn back ! "
እኛም በእርግጥ ወደ ጌታችን ተመላሾች ፤ ነን » ( እንድትሉ ) ፡ ፡

believers , eat the wholesome things which we have provided for you and give thanks to god , if it is him you worship .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ከነዚያ ከሰጠናችሁ ጣፋጮች ብሉ ፡ ፡ ለአላህም እርሱን ብቻ የምትገዙ እንደኾናችሁ አመስግኑ ፡ ፡

allah it is who has subjected the sea to you so that ships may sail upon it at his bidding and you may seek of his bounty and give thanks to him .
አላህ ያ ባሕርን በውስጡ ታንኳዎች በፈቃዱ እንዲንሻለሉበት ከችሮታውም እንድትፈልጉበት እንድታመሰግኑትም ለእናነተ የገራላችሁ ነው ፡ ፡

" did you do this to our gods , o abraham ? " they enquired .
« ኢብራሂም ሆይ ! በአማልክቶቻችን ይህንን የሠራህ አንተ ነህን » አሉት ፡ ፡

he rendered thanks to allah for his bounties so that allah chose him ( for his favours ) and directed him to the right way .
ለጸጋዎቹ አመስጋኝ ነበር ፤ መረጠው ፡ ፡ ወደ ቀጥተኛውም መንገድ መራው ፡ ፡

they say : shall we indeed be restored to ( our ) first state ?
« እኛ ወደ መጀመሪያይቱ ኹነታ ተመላሾች ነን ? » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

who , when listening to our revelations , say , " these are only ancient legends " .
አንቀጾቻችን በእርሱ ላይ በተነበቡ ጊዜ « የመጀመሪያዎቹ ሰዎች ተረቶች ናቸው » ይላል ፡ ፡

and of his signs is that he sends winds to herald good tidings and that he may give you a taste of his mercy , and that ships may sail at his bidding , and you may seek his bounty and give thanks to him .
ነፋሶችንም ( በዝናብ ) ልታበስራችሁ ፣ ከችሮታውም ( በእርሷ ) ሊያቀምሳችሁ ፣ መርከቦችም በትዕዛዙ እንዲንሻለሉ ፣ ከችሮታውም እንድትፈልጉ ፣ ታመሰግኑትም ዘንድ መላኩ ከአስደናቂ ምልክቶቹ ነው ፡ ፡

if we willed , we verily could make it salt ( and undrinkable ) , why then do you not give thanks ( to allah ) ?
ብንሻ ኖሮ መርጋጋ ባደረግነው ነበር ፡ ፡ አታመሰግኑምን ?

and allah has brought you out from the wombs of your mothers while you know nothing . and he gave you hearing , sight , and hearts that you might give thanks ( to allah ) .
አላህም ከእናቶቻችሁ ሆዶች ምንም የማታውቁ ሆናችሁ አወጣችሁ ፡ ፡ ታመሰግኑም ዘንድ ለእናንተ መስሚያን ማያዎችንም ልቦችንም አደረገላችሁ ፡ ፡

certainly there was a sign for saba in their abode ; two gardens on the right and the left ; eat of the sustenance of your lord and give thanks to him : a good land and a forgiving lord !
ለሰበእ በመኖሪያቸው በእውነት አስደናቂ ምልክት ነበራቸው ፡ ፡ ከግራና ከቀኝ ሁለት አትክልቶች ( ነበሯቸው ) ፡ ፡ « ከጌታችሁ ሲሳይ ብሉ ፡ ፡ ለእርሱም አመስግኑ ፡ ፡ ( አገራችሁ ) ውብ አገር ናት ፡ ፡ ( ጌታችሁ ) መሓሪ ጌታም ነው » ( ተባሉ ) ፡ ፡
