when you heard it , why did you not say , " it is not right for us to speak of this . god forbid !
በሰማችሁትም ጊዜ በዚህ ልንናገር ለእኛ አይገባንም ፡ ፡ ጥራት ይገባህ ፡ ፡ ይህ ከባድ ቅጥፈት ነው ፤ አትሉም ነበርን

when you heard it , why did you not say : ' it is not right for us to speak of this . exaltations to you !
በሰማችሁትም ጊዜ በዚህ ልንናገር ለእኛ አይገባንም ፡ ፡ ጥራት ይገባህ ፡ ፡ ይህ ከባድ ቅጥፈት ነው ፤ አትሉም ነበርን

" it is not right for us to speak of this . glory be to you ( o allah ) this is a great lie . "
በሰማችሁትም ጊዜ በዚህ ልንናገር ለእኛ አይገባንም ፡ ፡ ጥራት ይገባህ ፡ ፡ ይህ ከባድ ቅጥፈት ነው ፤ አትሉም ነበርን

it is not mine to say what i have no right to . if i indeed said it , thou knowest it , knowing what is within my soul , and i know not what is within thy soul ; thou knowest the things unseen
አላህም ፡ - « የመርየም ልጅ ዒሳ ሆይ ! አንተ ለሰዎቹ ፡ - እኔንና እናቴን ከአላህ ሌላ ሁለት አምላኮች አድርጋችሁ ያዙ ብላሃልን » በሚለው ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ « ጥራት ይገባህ ፤ ለእኔ ተገቢዬ ያልኾነን ነገር ማለት ለኔ አይገባኝም ፡ ፡ ብዬው እንደ ኾነም በእርግጥ ዐውቀኸዋል ፡ ፡ በነፍሴ ውስጥ ያለውን ሁሉ ታውቃለህ ፡ ፡ ግን አንተ ዘንድ ያለውን አላውቅም ፡ ፡ አንተ ሩቆችን ሁሉ በጣም ዐዋቂ አንተ ብቻ ነህና » ይላል ፡ ፡

he said : ' what do you think my nation ! if i have a clear proof from my lord and he has given me mercy from him , though it is hidden from you , can wecompel you to accept it when you hate it ?
« ሕዝቦቼ ሆይ ! ንገሩኝ ከጌታዬ በግልጽ ማስረጃ ላይ ብሆን ከእርሱም ዘንድ የሆነን ችሮታ ( ነብይነት ) ቢሰጠኝና በእናንተ ላይ ብትደበቅባችሁ እናንተ ለርቯ ጠይዎች ስትሆኑ እርቯን ( በመቀበል ) እናስገድዳችኋለን » አላቸው ፡ ፡

it is not right for a prophet to keep captives unless he has battled strenuously in the land . you desire the gain of this world , while god desires for you the hereafter -- god is mighty and wise .
ለነቢይ በምድር ላይ እስቲያደክም ድረስ ለእርሱ ምርኮኞች ሊኖሩት አይገባም ፡ ፡ የቅርቢቱን ዓለም ጠፊ ጥቅም ትፈልጋላችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህም መጨረሻይቱን ይሻል ፡ ፡ አላህም አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነው ፡ ፡

and it is not lawful for them to conceal what god has created in their wombs , if they believe in god and the last day . meanwhile , their husbands have the better right to take them back , if they desire reconciliation .
የተፈቱ ሴቶችም ነፍሶቻቸውን ( ከማግባት ) ሦስትን ቁርእ ይጠብቁ ፡ ፡ በአላህና በመጨረሻውም ቀን የሚያምኑ ቢኾኑ አላህ በማሕፀኖቻቸው ውስጥ የፈጠረውን ሊደብቁ ለነርሱ አይፈቀድላቸውም ፡ ፡ ባሎቻቸውም በዚህ ውስጥ እርቅን ቢፈልጉ በመማለሳቸው ተገቢዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ( ለሴቶች ) የዚያ በእነርሱ ላይ ያለባቸው ( ግዳጅ ) ብጤ በመልካም አኑዋኑዋር ( በባሎቻቸው ላይ መብት ) አላቸው ፡ ፡ ለወንዶችም ( ጣጣቸውን ስለሚሸከሙ ) በእነሱ ላይ ብልጫ አላቸው ፡ ፡ አላህም አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነው ፡ ፡

and among them are those who twist the scripture with their tongues , that you may think it from the scripture , when it is not from the scripture . and they say , “ it is from god , ” when it is not from god .
ከእነሱም እርሱ ከመጽሐፉ ያይደለ ሲኾን ከመጽሐፉ መኾኑን እንድታስቡ በመጽሐፉ ምላሶቻቸውን የሚያጣምሙ ክፍሎች አሉ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ከአላህ ዘንድ ያልኾነ ሲኾን « እርሱ ከአላህ ዘንድ ነውም » ይላሉ ፡ ፡ እነርሱ የሚያውቁ ሲኾኑም በአላህ ላይ ውሸትን ይናገራሉ ፡ ፡

and there is a party among them who twist their tongues while reciting the book to make you think that it is part of the book when in fact it is not . they say : ' it is from allah ' , when in fact it is not from allah .
ከእነሱም እርሱ ከመጽሐፉ ያይደለ ሲኾን ከመጽሐፉ መኾኑን እንድታስቡ በመጽሐፉ ምላሶቻቸውን የሚያጣምሙ ክፍሎች አሉ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ከአላህ ዘንድ ያልኾነ ሲኾን « እርሱ ከአላህ ዘንድ ነውም » ይላሉ ፡ ፡ እነርሱ የሚያውቁ ሲኾኑም በአላህ ላይ ውሸትን ይናገራሉ ፡ ፡

and indeed , there is among them a party who alter the scripture with their tongues so you may think it is from the scripture , but it is not from the scripture . and they say , " this is from allah , " but it is not from allah .
ከእነሱም እርሱ ከመጽሐፉ ያይደለ ሲኾን ከመጽሐፉ መኾኑን እንድታስቡ በመጽሐፉ ምላሶቻቸውን የሚያጣምሙ ክፍሎች አሉ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ከአላህ ዘንድ ያልኾነ ሲኾን « እርሱ ከአላህ ዘንድ ነውም » ይላሉ ፡ ፡ እነርሱ የሚያውቁ ሲኾኑም በአላህ ላይ ውሸትን ይናገራሉ ፡ ፡

and god will say , “ o jesus son of mary , did you say to the people , `take me and my mother as gods rather than god? '“ he will say, “glory be to you! it is not for me to say what i have no right to .
አላህም ፡ - « የመርየም ልጅ ዒሳ ሆይ ! አንተ ለሰዎቹ ፡ - እኔንና እናቴን ከአላህ ሌላ ሁለት አምላኮች አድርጋችሁ ያዙ ብላሃልን » በሚለው ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ « ጥራት ይገባህ ፤ ለእኔ ተገቢዬ ያልኾነን ነገር ማለት ለኔ አይገባኝም ፡ ፡ ብዬው እንደ ኾነም በእርግጥ ዐውቀኸዋል ፡ ፡ በነፍሴ ውስጥ ያለውን ሁሉ ታውቃለህ ፡ ፡ ግን አንተ ዘንድ ያለውን አላውቅም ፡ ፡ አንተ ሩቆችን ሁሉ በጣም ዐዋቂ አንተ ብቻ ነህና » ይላል ፡ ፡

and divorced women shall wait ( as regards their marriage ) for three menstrual periods , and it is not lawful for them to conceal what allah has created in their wombs , if they believe in allah and the last day . and their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period , if they wish for reconciliation .
የተፈቱ ሴቶችም ነፍሶቻቸውን ( ከማግባት ) ሦስትን ቁርእ ይጠብቁ ፡ ፡ በአላህና በመጨረሻውም ቀን የሚያምኑ ቢኾኑ አላህ በማሕፀኖቻቸው ውስጥ የፈጠረውን ሊደብቁ ለነርሱ አይፈቀድላቸውም ፡ ፡ ባሎቻቸውም በዚህ ውስጥ እርቅን ቢፈልጉ በመማለሳቸው ተገቢዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ( ለሴቶች ) የዚያ በእነርሱ ላይ ያለባቸው ( ግዳጅ ) ብጤ በመልካም አኑዋኑዋር ( በባሎቻቸው ላይ መብት ) አላቸው ፡ ፡ ለወንዶችም ( ጣጣቸውን ስለሚሸከሙ ) በእነሱ ላይ ብልጫ አላቸው ፡ ፡ አላህም አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነው ፡ ፡

[ but you think it is impossible that ] someone else may be granted [ revelation ] such as you were granted -- or else that they should contend against you before your lord . say , " all grace is in the hands of god ; he grants it to whom he wills : for god is boundless , and all knowing ,
እናንተ የተሰጣችሁትን ብጤ አንድም ሰው መሰጠቱን ወይም እጌታችሁ ዘንድ የሚከራከሩዋችሁ መኾንን ሃይማኖታችሁን ለተከተለ ሰው ቢኾን እንጂ አትመኑ ( አትግለጹ አሉ ) ፡ ፡ « መምሪያው የአላህ መምሪያ ብቻ ነው » በላቸው ፡ ፡ « ችሮታ በአላህ እጅ ነው ፡ ፡ ለሚሻው ይሰጠዋል ፡ ፡ አላህም ችሮታው ሰፊ ዐዋቂ ነው » በላቸው ፡ ፡
