Իսկ առակը այս է նշանակում. սերմը Աստծու խօսքն է:

բայց քո աղախնի որդու սերունդն էլ ես նշանաւոր կը դարձնեմ, որովհետեւ նա էլ քո սերմից է»:

Որքան աչքդ կտրում է, այդ ողջ երկիրը յաւիտեան քեզ եմ տալու եւ քո սերունդներին:

Եւ ասում էր. «Այսպէ՛ս է Աստծու արքայութիւնը. որպէս թէ մի մարդ հողի մէջ սերմեր ցանի.

and god said unto abraham, thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
իսկ դու եւ քեզնից յետոյ գալիք քո զաւակները, սերնդից սերունդ, պէտք է պահէք իմ ուխտը:

and thou saidst, i will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
Դու ասացիր, թէ՝ «Բարիք կ՚անեմ քեզ եւ քո սերունդները աւազի պէս կը բազմացնեմ, այնքան, որ անթիւ ու անհամար կը լինեն նրանք»:

and i will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a god unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
Իմ ուխտը պիտի հաստատեմ իմ եւ քո միջեւ, քեզնից յետոյ գալիք քո սերունդների ու նրանց ցեղերի միջեւ որպէս յաւիտենական ուխտ, որով ես եմ լինելու քո եւ քեզնից յետոյ գալիք սերունդների Աստուածը:
