the woman saith unto him, sir, i perceive that thou art a prophet.
Կինը նրան ասաց. «Տէ՛ր, ինձ թւում է, թէ դու մարգարէ ես:

for jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.
քանի որ Յիսուս ինքն իսկ վկայել էր, թէ մարգարէն իր գաւառում պատիւ չունի:

and he said, verily i say unto you, no prophet is accepted in his own country.
Եւ նա ասաց. «Ճշմարիտ եմ ասում ձեզ, որ մարգարէն ընդունելի չէ իր քաղաքում:

all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
Բայց այս բոլորը եղաւ, որպէսզի կատարուի մարգարէի խօսքը, որ ասում է.

and they said unto him, in bethlehem of judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
Եւ նրանք ասացին նրան. «Հրէաստանի Բեթղեհէմ քաղաքում, որովհետեւ մարգարէի միջոցով այսպէս է գրուած.

and when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.

Նրանք հարցրին նրան ու ասացին. «Իսկ դու ինչո՞ւ ես մկրտում, եթէ դու չես Քրիստոսը, ոչ էլ Եղիան եւ ոչ էլ մարգարէն»:

Եւ ահը պատեց բոլորին. փառաւորում էին Աստծուն եւ ասում. «Մի մեծ մարգարէ է յայտնուել մեր մէջ», եւ՝ «Աստուած այցելութիւն է տուել իր ժողովրդին բարութեամբ»:

and they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, they parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
Եւ նրան խաչը հանելով՝ բաժանեցին նրա զգեստները՝ վիճակ գցելով, որպէսզի կատարուի այն խօսքը, որ ասուեց մարգարէի կողմից. «Իմ զգեստները բաժանեցին իրենց մէջ եւ իմ պատմուճանի վրայ վիճակ էին գցում»:

abraham saith unto him, they have moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
Եւ Աբրահամն ասաց. «Նրանք ունեն Մովսէս եւ մարգարէներ, թող նրա՛նց լսեն»:
