very interestingly, a blue shift of c o infrared peak for f sio2 comparing to neat pla is found in the partial ftir spectra [figure 4(b)], which may be contributed by the transfer of partial ester groups in pla chains. combining the weakened silicon hydroxyl peak, it can be concluded that pla chains are grafted onto the surface of sio2 by transesterification between ester groups in pla chain and si–oh groups in sio2 during melt blending with high temperature and high shear force.
