क्या तुझे ज्ञात नहीं कि मृत्यु के देवता यम अब तेरे निकट आ चुके हैं ?

but , to the unbelievers : ' were my verses not recited to you , but you were proud and were you not a sinful nation '
और जिन्होंने कुफ्र एख्तेयार किया तो क्या तुम्हारे सामने हमारी आयतें नहीं पढ़ी जाती थीं तो तुमने तकब्बुर किया और तुम लोग तो गुनेहगार हो गए

and if ye call them toward guidance they follow you not : it is the same to you whether ye call them or are silent .
और अगर तुम उन्हें हिदायत की तरफ बुलाओंगे भी तो ये तुम्हारी पैरवी नहीं करने के तुम्हारे वास्ते बराबर है ख्वाह तुम उनको बुलाओ या तुम चुपचाप बैठे रहो

say, “had god willed, i would not have recited it to you, and he would not have made it known to you. i have lived among you for a lifetime before it. do you not understand?”
कह दो, "यदि अल्लाह चाहता तो मैं तुम्हें यह पढ़कर न सुनाता और न वह तुम्हें इससे अवगत कराता। आख़िर इससे पहले मैं तुम्हारे बीच जीवन की पूरी अवधि व्यतीत कर चुका हूँ। फिर क्या तुम बुद्धि से काम नहीं लेते?"

say : if allah had desired i would not have recited it to you , nor would he have taught it to you ; indeed i have lived a lifetime among you before it ; do you not then understand ?
कह दो कि ख़ुदा चाहता तो मै न तुम्हारे सामने इसको पढ़ता और न वह तुम्हें इससे आगाह करता क्योंकि मै तो तुमने इससे पहले मुद्दतों रह चुका हूँ

let not those who are possessed of means and plenty among you resolve to withhold their bounty from their kindred and the needy and those who have migrated from their homes in the cause of god . let them forgive and overlook . do you not wish god to forgive you ? god is forgiving and merciful .
और तुममें से जो लोग ज्यादा दौलत और मुक़द्दर वालें है क़राबतदारों और मोहताजों और ख़ुदा की राह में हिजरत करने वालों को कुछ देने से क़सम न खा बैठें बल्कि उन्हें चाहिए कि माफ कर दें और दरगुज़र करें क्या तुम ये नहीं चाहते हो कि ख़ुदा तुम्हारी ख़ता माफ करे और खुदा तो बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है

let not those of you who possess bounty and plenty swear off giving kinsmen and the poor and those who emigrate in the way of god ; but let them pardon and forgive . do you not wish that god should forgive you ? god is all - forgiving , all - compassionate .
और तुममें से जो लोग ज्यादा दौलत और मुक़द्दर वालें है क़राबतदारों और मोहताजों और ख़ुदा की राह में हिजरत करने वालों को कुछ देने से क़सम न खा बैठें बल्कि उन्हें चाहिए कि माफ कर दें और दरगुज़र करें क्या तुम ये नहीं चाहते हो कि ख़ुदा तुम्हारी ख़ता माफ करे और खुदा तो बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है

say , “ had allah willed i would not have recited it to you nor would he have made it known to you ; so before this * i have spent an age among you ; so do you not have sense ? ”
कह दो कि ख़ुदा चाहता तो मै न तुम्हारे सामने इसको पढ़ता और न वह तुम्हें इससे आगाह करता क्योंकि मै तो तुमने इससे पहले मुद्दतों रह चुका हूँ

he said : " i would like to marry one of these two daughters of mine to you if you agree to work for me on hire for eight years . and if you stay on for ten , it is up to you . i do not wish to impose any hardship on you . god willing you will find me a man of honour . "
शुएब ने कहा मै चाहता हूँ कि अपनी दोनों लड़कियों में से एक के साथ तुम्हारा इस पर निकाह कर दूँ कि तुम आठ बरस तक मेरी नौकरी करो और अगर तुम दस बरस पूरे कर दो तो तुम्हारा एहसान और मै तुम पर मेहनत मशक्क़त भी डालना नही चाहता और तुम मुझे इन्शा अल्लाह नेको कार आदमी पाओगे

and said firaun , “ o my people ! is not the kingdom of egypt for me , and these rivers that flow beneath me ? so do you not see ? ”
और फिरऔन ने अपने लोगों में पुकार कर कहा ऐ मेरी क़ौम क्या मुल्क मिस्र हमारा नहीं और ये नहरें जो हमारे नीचे बह रही हैं तो क्या तुमको इतना भी नहीं सूझता
