और वह तुमसे ये तो न कहेगा कि फ़रिश्तों और पैग़म्बरों को ख़ुदा बना लो भला तुम्हारे मुसलमान हो जाने के बाद तुम्हें कुफ़्र का हुक्म करेगा

and neither would he enjoin you that you should take the angels and the prophets for lords ; what ! would he enjoin you with unbelief after you are muslims ?
और वह तुमसे ये तो न कहेगा कि फ़रिश्तों और पैग़म्बरों को ख़ुदा बना लो भला तुम्हारे मुसलमान हो जाने के बाद तुम्हें कुफ़्र का हुक्म करेगा

क्योंकि वह उसका एक ही ओढ़ना है, उसकी देह का वही अकेला वस्त्रा होगा फिर वह किसे ओढ़कर सोएगा? तोभी जब वह मेरी दोहाई देगा तब मैं उसकी सुनूंगा, क्योंकि मैं तो करूणामय हूं।।

उनसे पूछो तो कि क्या तुम ये समझते हो कि अगर ख़ुदा तुम्हारे कान और तुम्हारी ऑंखे लें ले और तुम्हारे दिलों पर मोहर कर दे तो ख़ुदा के सिवा और कौन मौजूद है जो तुम्हें ये नेअमतें दे देखो तो हम किस किस तरह अपनी दलीले बयान करते हैं इस पर भी वह लोग मुँह मोडे ज़ाते हैं

and what would have happened were a qur ' an to be revealed wherewith mountains could be set in motion , or the earth cleft , or the dead made to speak ? everything rests entirely with allah . so , do not the people of faith despair as a result of knowing that had allah so willed , he could have guided all to the truth . misfortune continues to afflict the unbelievers on account of their misdeeds , or to befall on locations close to their habitation . this will continue until allah ' s promise is fulfilled . indeed allah does not go back upon his promise .
और यदि कोई ऐसा क़ुरआन होता जिसके द्वारा पहाड़ चलने लगते या उससे धरती खंड - खंड हो जाती या उसके द्वारा मुर्दे बोलने लगते । नहीं , बल्कि बात यह है कि सारे काम अल्लाह ही के अधिकार में है । फिर क्या जो लोग ईमान लाए है वे यह जानकर निराश नहीं हुए कि यदि अल्लाह चाहता तो सारे ही मनुष्यों को सीधे मार्ग पर लगा देता ? और इनकार करनेवालों पर तो उनकी करतूतों के बदले में कोई न कोई आपदा निरंतर आती ही रहेगी , या उनके घर के निकट ही कहीं उतरती रहेगी , यहाँ तक कि अल्लाह का वादा आ पूरा होगा । निस्संदेह अल्लाह अपने वादे के विरुद्ध नहीं जाता । "
