އަދި، އެއުރެންނީ، އެއުރެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ عذاب އަށް ބިރުވެތިވާ މީހުންނެވެ.

ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ عذاب އާއި، إنذار ގެ ރަހަ ލިބިގަންނާށެވެ!

how then were my chastisement and my warnings?
ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ عذاب އާއި، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ إنذار ތައްވީ ކޮންފަދައަކުންހެއްޔެވެ؟

a beseecher besought the visitation of chastisement,
ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރި މާތްވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެ اسم ފުޅުން ކަލޭގެފާނު تسبيح ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ!

'taste now my chastisement and my warnings!'
ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ عذاب އާއި، إنذار ގެ ރަހަ ލިބިގަންނާށެވެ!

allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement.
ފަހެ، اللّه، އެމީހަކަށް ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ عذاب ން عذاب ދެއްވާނެތެވެ.

a questioner asked of a chastisement about to fall
ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރި މާތްވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެ اسم ފުޅުން ކަލޭގެފާނު تسبيح ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ!

allah will chastise him with the most terrible chastisement.
ފަހެ، اللّه، އެމީހަކަށް ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ عذاب ން عذاب ދެއްވާނެތެވެ.

surely i fear for you the chastisement of a grievous day
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ދުވަހެއްގެ عذاب އަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާމެދު ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު ބިރުފުޅުގަނެތެވެ.

but the evildoers dwell forever in the chastisement of gehenna
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ކުށްވެރިން ނަރަކައިގެ عذاب ގައި ދެމިތިބޭނެތެވެ.

(from their lord's chastisement none feels secure)
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ عذاب އަކީ (އެކަލާނގެ أمان ކަންދެއްވިއްޔާމެނުވީ އެއިން) أمان ކަން ލިބިގެންނުވާ عذاب އެކެވެ.

a little enjoyment, then for them awaits a painful chastisement.
(އެއީ) ކުޑަކުޑަ ވަގުތީ އަރާމެކެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް ވޭންދެނިވި عذاب ހުށްޓެވެ.

and we delivered the children of israel from the humbling chastisement,
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ނިކަމެތިކަންދެނިވި عذاب ން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ إسـرآءيـل ގެދަރިން މިންޖުކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

'taste! we shall increase you not save in chastisement.'
ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން (ކުޅަ ނުބައި عمل ތަކުގެ) ރަހަ ލިބިގަންނާށެވެ! ފަހެ، عذاب މެނުވީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަކަށް އިތުރެއް ނުކުރައްވާ ހުށީމެވެ.

'indeed, i fear for you the chastisement of a dreadful day.'
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ދުވަހެއްގެ عذاب އަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާމެދު ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު ބިރުފުޅުގަނެތެވެ.

(they will be told): “you shall taste the grievous chastisement.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނީ، ވޭންދެނިވި عذاب ގެ ރަހަ ދެކޭނޭ ބަޔަކުކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

but when we removed from them the chastisement, lo! they broke the pledge.
ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ކިބައިން عذاب ފިއްލަވައިފިހިނދު، އެހާރުން އެއުރެން عهد އުވައިލަތެވެ.

'o our lord, remove thou from us the chastisement; we are believers.'
އަޅަމެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! އަޅަމެންގެ ކިބައިން عذاب ފިއްލަވާނދޭވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އަޅަމެން إيمان ވާހުށީމުއެވެ.

(a chastisement meant) for the unbelievers, one which none can avert;
ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރި މާތްވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެ اسم ފުޅުން ކަލޭގެފާނު تسبيح ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ!

say: surely i fear, if i disobey my lord, the chastisement of a grievous day.
ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު އުރެދިއްޖެނަމަ، ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ދުވަހެއްގެ عذاب އަށް ހަމަކަށަވަރުން ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު ބިރުފުޅުގަނެއެވެ.
