اور بہت سی بستیاں ہم نے تباه کر دیں جو ﻇالم تھیں اور ان کے بعد ہم نے دوسری قوم کو پیدا کر دیا

and whoever does a wrong or wrongs himself but then seeks forgiveness of allah will find allah forgiving and merciful.
اور جو بھی کسی کے ساتھ برائی کرے گا یا اپنے نفس پر ظلم کرے گا اس کے بعد استغفار کرے گا تو خدا کو غفور اور رحیم پائے گا

and downcast will be faces before the living, the self- subsisting, and disappointed will be he who beareth a wrong.
اس دن سارے چہرے خدائے حی و قیوم کے سامنے جھکے ہوں گے اور ظلم کا بوجھ اٹھانے والا ناکام اور رسوا ہوگا

but indeed if any do help and defend themselves after a wrong (done) to them, against such there is no cause of blame.
اور بے شک جس نے اپنی مظلو می پر بدلہ لیا ان پر کچھ مواخذہ کی راه نہیں،

and those who disbelieve, say. this is naught but a falsehood thathe hath fabricated and there have assisted him therein other people. so surelythey have aimed at a wrong and a fraud.
اور جو لوگ کافر ہیں وہ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ (قرآن) محض ایک جھوٹ ہے جسے اس شخص نے گھڑ لیا ہے اور کچھ دوسرے لوگوں نے اس کام میں اس کی مدد کی ہے (یہ بات کہہ کر) خود یہ لوگ بڑے ظلم اور جھوٹ کے مرتکب ہوئے ہیں۔

and he entered his garden, while he was a wrong-doer in respect of his own soul; he said: i imagine not that this shall ever perish.
اور (ایسی شیخیوں) سے اپنے حق میں ظلم کرتا ہوا اپنے باغ میں داخل ہوا۔ کہنے لگا کہ میں نہیں خیال کرتا کہ یہ باغ کبھی تباہ ہو

how shall allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and after they bore witness that the apostle was true and after evidences had come unto them! and allah guideth not a wrong-doing people.
الله ایسے لوگوں کو کیونکر راہ دکھائے جو ایمان لانے کے بعد کافر ہوگئے اور گواہی دے چکے ہیں کہ بے شک یہ رسول سچا ہے اور ان کے پاس روشن نشانیاں آئی ہیں اور الله ظالموں کو راہ نہیں دکھاتا

and he giveth you of all ye ask of him, and if ye would count the bounty of allah ye cannot reckon it. lo! man is verily a wrong-doer, an ingrate.
اسی نے تمہیں تمہاری منہ مانگی کل چیزوں میں سے دے رکھا ہے۔ اگر تم اللہ کے احسان گننا چاہو تو انہیں پورے گن بھی نہیں سکتے۔ یقیناً انسان بڑا ہی بے انصاف اور ناشکرا ہے

how many a city have we destroyed, while it was a wrong- doer--and it lieth overturned on its roofs, -and how many a well abandoned and how many a castle fortifred!
اور بہت سی بستیاں ہیں کہ ہم نے ان کو تباہ کر ڈالا کہ وہ نافرمان تھیں۔ سو وہ اپنی چھتوں پر گری پڑی ہیں۔ اور (بہت سے) کنوئیں بےکار اور (بہت سے) محل ویران پڑے ہیں

o ye who believe! take not the jews and the nazarenes as friends: friends they are to each other: and whosoever of you befriendeth them, verily he is of them; verily allah guideth not a wrong-doing people.
ایمان والو یہودیوں اور عیسائیوں کو اپنا دوست اور سرپرست نہ بناؤ کہ یہ خود آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے دوست ہیں اور تم میں سے کوئی انہیں دوست بنائے گا تو ان ہی میں شمار ہوجائے گا بیشک اللہ ظالم قوم کی ہدایت نہیں کرتا ہے
