for the cfv-cvs system: where:
za sistem cfv-cvs: kjer je:

either a pdp or a cfv system may be used.
uporabi se lahko sistem pdp ali cfv.

the blower shall be started downstream of the cfv;
puhalo se zažene nižje od cfv v smeri toka;

cd shall be used to determine cfv flow during an emission test.

a cfv flow-meter shall be calibrated as follows:

critical-flow venturi dilution device (cfv-cvs)
naprava za redčenje z venturijevo cevjo s kritičnim pretokom (cfv-cvs)

calibration of the cfv is based upon the flow equation for a critical venturi:

the manufacturer's recommended procedure must be followed for calibrating electronic portions of the cfv.

the diluted exhaust gas flow rate is measured either with a positive displacement pump pdp or with a critical flow venturi cfv.

the restrictor valve shall be incrementally closed to decrease the absolute pressure at the inlet to the cfv, pin;
regulirni ventil se postopoma zapira, da se zniža absolutni tlak na vstopu v cfv, pin;

cfv measures total diluted exhaust flow by maintaining the flow at choked conditions (critical flow).
cfv meri skupni pretok razredčenih izpušnih plinov pri pretoku pod pogoji nasičenja (pri kritičnem pretoku).
