remember when we inspired your mother with a certain inspiration

recall, when we indicated to your mother through inspiration:
markaan u waxyoonay hooyadaa (ku ilhaamay) wixii lagu ilhaameeye.

"behold! we sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message:
markaan u waxyoonay hooyadaa (ku ilhaamay) wixii lagu ilhaameeye.

"i have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee).
anaana ku doortay ee maqal waxa laguu waxyoon.

and she who guarded her chastity, so we breathed into her of our inspiration and made her and her son a sign for the nations.
tiina (xusuuso) dhawrtay xubinteedaa waa (maryama) oon ku afuufnay dhexdeeda ruuxdanadii kana yeellay iyada iyo wiilkeeda calaamadda caalamka.

follow thou the inspiration sent unto thee, and be patient and constant, till allah do decide: for he is the best to decide.
ee raac waxa laguu waxyooday samirna inta eebe ka kala xukmin (dadka) isagaa u wanaagson xaakime.

say (o muhammad, unto mankind): i warn you only by the inspiration. but the deaf hear not the call when they are warned.
waxaad dhahdaa waxaa uun aan idiinku digi waxyiga mana maqlo dhagoole dhawaaqa marka loo digi.

and before thee also the messengers we sent were but men, to whom we granted inspiration: if ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the message.

and (o muhammad saw), follow the inspiration sent unto you, and be patient till allah gives judgement. and he is the best of judges.

say: "what has come to me by inspiration is that your allah is one allah: will ye therefore bow to his will (in islam)?"
waxaad dhahdaa waxaa uun lay waxyooday aniga in ilaaheennu ilaah kaliya yahay ee idinku muslimiin ma tihiin (ma hogaansameysaan).

"and construct the ship under our eyes and with our inspiration, and address me not on behalf of those who did wrong; they are surely to be drowned."
samaysana doon annagoo ku dhawri kuuna waxyoon hana igula hadlin (xaalka) kuwii dulmi falay waa ia maansheyne.

and construct the ship under our observation and our inspiration and do not address me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are [to be] drowned."
samaysana doon annagoo ku dhawri kuuna waxyoon hana igula hadlin (xaalka) kuwii dulmi falay waa ia maansheyne.

"but construct an ark under our eyes and our inspiration, and address me no (further) on behalf of those who are in sin: for they are about to be overwhelmed (in the flood)."
