narrative or stories occur when one or more speakers engage in sharing and recounting an experience or event. typical, the telling of a story occupies multiple turns in the course of a convention and stories or narratives may share common structural features. narrative analysis as defined by (cohen and crabtree, 2016). as used in this study, the researchers carefully reviewed the respondent's narratives and grouped together their commonalities. the researchers of this study utilized methods and techniques to ensure the validity of data which were narrative analysis and thematic analysis. the interview data of this study were analysed by using thematic analysis. according to braun and clarke(2013) thematic analysis has been poorly branded, yet widely used in qualitative research and has been rarely appreciated in the same way as grounded theory, ethnography, or phenomenology. the further argued that thematic analysis should be a foundational method for qualitative analysis, as it provides core skills for conducting many other forms of qualitative analysis.
