(உம்முடன் உடன்படிக்கை செய்திருக்கும்) எந்தக் கூட்டத்தாரும் மோசம் செய்வார்கள் என நீர் பயந்தால். (அதற்குச்) சமமாகவே (அவ்வுடன்படிக்கையை) அவர்களிடம் எறிந்துவிடும்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மோசம் செய்பவர்களை நேசிப்பதில்லை.

well nigh he had led us astray from our gods if we had not persevered towards them. presently they shall know, when they behold the torment, who, more astray in respect of path.

and had we sent down the angels towards them, and had the dead spoken to them, and had we raised all things in front of them, they would still not have believed unless allah willed – but most of them are totally ignorant.
நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களிடம் மலக்குகளை இறக்கிவைத்தாலும், இறந்தவர்களை அவர்களிடம் பேசும்படிச் செய்தாலும், இன்னும் எல்லாப் பொருட்களையும் அவர்களிடம் நேருக்குநேர் கொண்டுவந்து ஒன்று சேர்த்தாலும் - அல்லாஹ் நாடினாலன்றி அவர்கள் ஈமான் கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள் - அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் மூடர்களாகவே இருக்கின்றனர்.

and other have confessed their sins; they have mixed a righteous deed with another evil. it may be that god will turn towards them; god is all-forgiving, all-compassionate.

and had they kept the taurat and the injeel established, and what was sent down towards them from their lord, they would have received sustenance from above and from beneath their feet; among them is a group who is fair; but most of them commit extremely evil deeds.
இன்னும்; அவர்கள் தவ்ராத்தையும், இன்ஜீலையும், இன்னும் தம் இறைவனிடத்திலிருந்து தங்களுக்கு இறக்கப்பட்டதையும், நிலைநாட்டியிருந்தால் அவர்கள் மேலே - (வானத்தில்) இருந்தும், தம் பாதங்களுக்கு அடியில் (பூமியில்) இருந்தும் (இன்பத்தைப்) புசித்திருப்பார்கள்; அவர்களில் சிலர்(தாம்) நேர்வழியுள்ள சமுதாயத்தினராய் இருக்கின்றனர், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் செய்யும் காரியங்கள் மிகக் கெட்டவையேயாகும்.

allah sets forth an example to those who disbelieve the wife of nuh and the wife of lut: they were both under two of our righteous servants, but they acted treacherously towards them so they availed them naught against allah, and it was said: enter both the fire with those who enter.
