(muhammad), say, "i seek protection from the cherisher of mankind,
(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக: மனிதர்களின் இறைவனிடத்தில் நான் காவல் தேடுகிறேன்.

"allah, your lord and cherisher and the lord and cherisher of your fathers of old?"
"அல்லாஹ்தான் - உங்களுடைய இறைவனும், உங்களுடை முன் சென்ற மூதாதையர்களின் இறைவனும் ஆவான்."

proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy lord and cherisher, who created-
(யாவற்றையும்) படைத்த உம்முடைய இறைவனின் திருநாமத்தைக் கொண்டு ஓதுவீராக.

of the wrong-doers the last remnant was cut off. praise be to allah, the cherisher of the worlds.
எனவே, அக்கிரமம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த அக்கூட்டத்தார் வேரறுக்கப்பட்டனர்; "எல்லாப் புகழும் உலகங்கள் யாவற்றுக்கும் இரட்சகனான அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே ஆகும்."

then praise be to allah, lord of the heavens and lord of the earth,- lord and cherisher of all the worlds!
ஆகவே வானங்களுக்கும் இறைவனான - பூமிக்கும் இறைவனான - அகிலத்தாருக்கெல்லாம் இறைவனான அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே எல்லாப் புகழும்.

there is no god but he: it is he who gives life and gives death,- the lord and cherisher to you and your earliest ancestors.
அவனையன்றி (வேறு) நாயன் இல்லை. அவன் உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறான்; அவனே மரிக்கச் செய்கிறான்; அவனே உங்கள் இறைவனாகவும் முன் சென்ற உங்கள் மூதாதையரின் இறைவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

and verily this brotherhood of yours is a single brotherhood, and i am your lord and cherisher: therefore fear me (and no other).
"இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக (சன்மார்க்கமான) உங்கள் சமுதாயம் (முழுவதும்) ஒரே சமுதாயம் தான்; மேலும், நானே உங்களுடைய இறைவனாக இருக்கின்றேன்; எனவே நீங்கள் எனக்கே அஞ்சங்கள்" (என்றும் கூறினோம்).

"so go forth, both of you, to pharaoh, and say: 'we have been sent by the lord and cherisher of the worlds;
ஆதலின் நீங்கள் இருவரும் ஃபிர்அவ்னிடம் செல்லுங்கள்; அவனிடம் கூறுங்கள்; "நிச்சயமாக நாங்களிருவரும் அகிலத்தாருடைய இறைவனின் தூதர்கள்.

"if thou dost stretch thy hand against me, to slay me, it is not for me to stretch my hand against thee to slay thee: for i do fear allah, the cherisher of the worlds.
அன்றியும், "நீ என்னை வெட்டுவதற்காக என்னளவில் உன் கையை நீட்டு வாயானால் நான் உன்னை வெட்டுவற்காக என் கையை உன்னளவில் நீட்ட மாட்டேன் - ஏனெனில் நான் நிச்சயமாக உலகங்களுக்கெல்லாம் இறைவனாகிய அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சுகிறேன்" (என்றும் கூறினார்).

(moses) said: "the lord and cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure."
அதற்கு (மூஸா) "நீங்கள் உறுதி கொண்டவர்களாக இருப்பின், வானங்களுக்கும், பூமிக்கும் இவ்விரண்டுக்குமிடையே உள்ளவற்றுக்கும் இறைவனே (அகிலத்தாரின் இறைவன் ஆவான்)" என்று கூறினார்.
