அன்றியும், அவர் வலப்புறத்துத் தோழராக இருந்தால்,

and if he be a companion of the right:
அன்றியும், அவர் வலப்புறத்துத் தோழராக இருந்தால்,

there can be no companion better then a brother
इससे अच्छा साथी कोई भाई नहीं हो सकता

'peace be upon thee, companion of the right!'
"வலப்புறத்தோரே! உங்களுக்கு "ஸலாம்" உண்டாவதாக" (என்று கூறப்படும்).

your companion has neither strayed nor is he deluded;
உங்கள் தோழர் வழி கெட்டுவிடவுமில்லை, அவர் தவறான வழியில் செல்லவுமில்லை.

your companion is not in error nor has he gone astray.
உங்கள் தோழர் வழி கெட்டுவிடவுமில்லை, அவர் தவறான வழியில் செல்லவுமில்லை.

and (o people!) your companion is not one possessed;
மேலும் உங்கள் தோழர் பைத்தியக்காரர் அல்லர்.

(o people of makkah), your companion is not mad;
மேலும் உங்கள் தோழர் பைத்தியக்காரர் அல்லர்.

one of them will say, "i had a companion who asked me,
அவர்களில் ஒருவர்; எனக்கு (இம்மையில்) உற்ற நண்பன் ஒருவன் இருந்தான் எனக் கூறுவார்.

his companion said: “here is he who was in my charge.”
அப்போது அவனுடன் இருப்பவர் (மலக்கு) "இதோ (இம்மனிதனின் ஏடு) என்னிடம் சித்தமாக இருக்கிறது" என்று கூறுவார்.

your companion [muhammad] has not strayed, nor has he erred,
உங்கள் தோழர் வழி கெட்டுவிடவுமில்லை, அவர் தவறான வழியில் செல்லவுமில்லை.

and his companion will say: 'this is that which i have present'
அப்போது அவனுடன் இருப்பவர் (மலக்கு) "இதோ (இம்மனிதனின் ஏடு) என்னிடம் சித்தமாக இருக்கிறது" என்று கூறுவார்.

your companion (muhammad saw) has neither gone astray nor has erred.
உங்கள் தோழர் வழி கெட்டுவிடவுமில்லை, அவர் தவறான வழியில் செல்லவுமில்லை.

but they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her].
ஆனால் (அம்மக்களோ ஒட்டகையை அறுத்துவிடத்) தம் தோழனை அழைத்தனர், அவன் (துணிந்து கை) நீட்டி (அதன் கால் நரம்புகளைத்) தரித்து விட்டான்.
